Dr. William Langley Pridgen, MD

Dr. Pridgen is the kindest, most gentle doctor I have ever had. He did my hernia surgery, my gallbladder surgery and my reflux surgery. He has completely turned my life around. I feel better than I have in a very long time! He is very thoughtful and also very thorough! I have sent several family members and friends to him.

Not only was his gallbladder surgery on me a disaster that put me in my death bed for 3 months, his bed side manner was horrific. They literally had to disconnect my room phone and put guards at my door because he refused to stop entering my room after I fired him. He did not cauterize my gallbladder when he removed it, opened another duct, and the lacerated my stomach during surgery. He then kept sending me home without any testing when I kept going back to ER saying it was all in my head. He even tried to put m on psychiatric drugs rather than acknowledge something was wrong. I had bile leaking over 1/2 my body by the time ANOTHER doctor decided to do testing. The expected me to die. I do NOT recommend this doctor and warn others to stay far from him. He’s not even allowed to operate at DCH anymore due to his continued actions. Please seek another doctor quickly.

it is heartbreaking that an excellent Dr as he is.Has to be charged by his action as he has an ethical code of conduct to abide by. SHAME on the Australian Goverment

Dr.Pridgen has been a life saver for me, Ive been on his fibro program 4 years, I'm still working at age 60 fulltime.I have a few flares per year, but overall so much better.He is the only doc that listened and got to the bottom of my for real symtoms.

I have seen Dr. Pridgen for years for many GI issues. He has always been so helpful in figuring out the problem and getting me better, quick! I always get an appointment within the week. His staff is so nice. Even when he is not in the office, I am able to talk to a nurse that day! At my regular doctor's office, I have to wait a day or two to talk to someone. He has done two surgeries on me throughout the years. Both went very well, with minimal recovery time. I would certainly recommend him!

In a word, RUDE. Both his office staff and Pridgen himself are rude beyond compare. Pridgen is a boorish know-it-all who gives no consideration to patient opinion or questions. He has a one-size-fits all approach and does not care to receive input from anyone else. He is overbearing and overly self-confident. I do not recommend this doctor for either surgery or chronic pain issues. His skill, knowledge, and bedside manner leave a great deal to be desired.

Dr. Pridgeon took care of my husband several years ago in an emergency situation. He saved his life, and gave him exemplary care. He and his assistant were sensitive to the needs of not only my husband, but myself as well. I am thankful he was my husband's phusician, and if I ever need surgery, I hope Dr. Pridgeon is available! I recommend him without reservation!
