Dr. William Nelson Sheehan, MD

Try calling out Dr. Sheehan when/if he is being unprofessional and he will diagnose you with Borderline Personality Disorder. This Doctor was excellent until confronted about what could improve for the benefit of future patients, he then became unprofessionally offensive. When a witness was present of this action he decided to no longer allow the fellow colleague under him to help the patient that called him out. Then he threatens to use title 36 if the patient doesn't choose to stay longer, since the patient wanted to leave due to no further help being allowed, overall giving only options of the patient staying in a hospital but choice or force. This made the patient feel trapped and desperate to leave, only to find the next day Dr. Sheehan changed his mind when the insurance said they would not pay for more time. This is a clear sign he needs to retire if he puts his power above his patients and thinks it is okay to trigger a patient because he was bothered by miscommunication. The… actions of what he did to the patient with his authority is very concerning and it is believed he helped some patients by the book. Humans are beyond just the book but along with studies that venture out from what he was taught in the 1980's.

Dr. Sheehan has been excellent to work with. He is interested in understanding medical and psychological history and is a patient listener. He is very intelligent and was able to make connections and assumptions based on my story, he shared them with me to check his accuracy. He did a brain scan on me and uncovered new information, which confirms diagnosis and will hopefully allows us to treat my condition more effectively. A glimmer of hope for anyone with consistent or serious depressive issues.
