I experienced troublesome cardiac issues and was badly misdiagnosed by local doctors in Westchester. A visit to Dr. Slater resulted in a quick and accurate diagnosis of a somewhat unusual problem and a plan to address it. I am symptom-free and eternally grateful to the finest, brightest, and most compassionate doctor I have ever encountered. I am shocked to note a couple of negative ratings - not surprised that the naysayers left no explanations.

Very thorough physician. Even if I visited him for a cardiological check-up, he detected a nodule on my Thyroid and referred me to other specialists. I also appreciate that he is never pushing me to come back too often to his practice. He is very agreeable and explains the different options very clearly.

Dr. Slater is by far the best Doctor. He is kind, compassionate and truly demonstrates a concern for his patients. He is always current with my specific heart issues and takes the time to explain issues in lay terms. He is timely, always prepared and cares for me as a total patient with a multitude of health issues. His staff is as wonderful as the doctor. Other doctors could learn alot from Dr. Slater . He is an outstanding doctor.

my friend asked me if i knew a good cardiologist. i didn't hesitate to recommend dr. slater. he really took the time to talk to me, to assess my condition and to explain it to me. i felt cared for, thought about, and considered on my FIRST visit. he was deeply knowledgeable and answered all my questions. i work at a hospital (and a really good one at that) and i know what to expect from a doctor, which makes me a reasonable but deeply informed consumer. dr. slater far surpassed my expectations. if you are looking for a cardiologist, see this man - he is great.

Just because a physician's name is included in a top doctor list does not make him/her a great doctor. Dr. Slater has impressed me with his medical skills, patience and professionalism.
