Doesn't have time to listen to you, but has time to walk out the room and make fun of you to his staff. It's like he and staff did not care that I heard either. On to the next, I guess..

Dr. Steinkhol performed a procedure known as a Urolyft one year ago to cure the problems of an enlarged prostrate. It was a complete success, like I never had the problem at all. Also the office is run a bit differently than most. It is an "open" type office where everyone works in a big room in plain sight of one another which makes you think everyone is on the ball. You enter this room and then are sent to an exam room which is right there facing the open room. It makes you feel that you are important to them as a patient. Also the staff is about the friendliest and kindest you will ever encounter. I received lab requests and no problems with medication refills.

Nov 2012 I was referred to Dr. Steinkohl by my primary Dr. on my 2nd appointment he performed a prostate biopsy when the results came back I asked well sure hope you have some good news and he just looked at me and said well wished I did....My heart just sank down to my feet fearful of this diagnosis said what I have prostate cancer? And his response was yes and here is a book you need to read it will answers your questions & he just got up and walked out I started to cry as all I could think about was how my Dad died a horrible death from stage 4 prostate cancer in his bones now here I'm in e same position The Nurse said I need to report to the Cancer treatment center on Rainbow Blvd in L.V ASAP!. It was there I was informed that my cancer was a small mass and could be successfully treated with 53 radiation treatments which I finished all of them in 2.5mos. Once completed I was sent back to the care of Dr. Steinkohl which is where I learned that on the day I was told about the… cancer he had actually done me a favor by not telling me how small my mass was as some guys would just refuse to seek further treatment. Over the years I continued to have follow up PSA test every 6mos which my PSA is now 0.2 and & follow up visits with him. Over the years I have learned much about him & why he is the way he treats his patients to some people he seems cold & uncaring which is just the opposite he is that way to keep the patient & Dr. relationship on a professional serious basis he is a Great Dr. This I have come to understand & appreciate his manors over the past 5yrs now it's Jan 13th, 2018 Richard H. 65yrs old.

I have a moderately enlarged prostrate. I am a 61 year old white male. Dr. Steinkhol did a procedure called Urolift. It is a new procedure and requires a day surgery (they knock you out). A pair of tiny clips is inserted through the urethea and they serve to hold the prostrate apart and away from the urine flow. This is a new procedure and it is reversible if need be. I'm pretty sure it will restore me back to when I did not have any problems. I have nothing but praise for the doctor and his staff.

not a better Eurologist anywhere

His office staff is unresponsive to things that are not convenient. He seems bored with patients concerned. Had TURP performed. Need to redo surgery. Was unresponsive to serious UTI that could affect my life. Only got help by going to emergency room for service.

Dr. Steinkohl does things his way, he does not take into consideration what you have previously experienced or that you understand your body. It is his way only.

It looks like he don't care, all is fast, next please!

Dr. Steinkohl was extremely full of himself, rude and did not spend any time with me at all. He did not want to answer any questions, and I would not trust him with any type of major procedure.

Dr. Steinkohl was extremely short, impatient and unwilling to answer questions. He was condescending and quite frankly physically abusive. I would definitely not recommend him.
