The doctor is awesome but the lady at the desk needs to learn some manners

I instructed him 'TWICE' that I only wanted arthroscopic surgery on my knee and that I did not want him to cut open my knee at all and he assured me that he would only do what I wanted and he could do it that way - but, when I got home and removed the dressing he had cut me wide open against what I demanded of him for my surgery! I had told him this in his office and again just before surgery at the hospital - he lied to me! He does not deserve to be called a surgeon - he is dishonest - please beware. My knee now hurts five times more than before he did his surgery and it has been 14 weeks now - my running in the senior Olympics may be over because of him>

Dr. Tew has a nice office in a prestigious hospital. I was referred to him for OA of the hip(s). Unfortunately he is not a hip surgeon. I wish he had come right out and told me that. I had to get referred to another doctor for my problem. I think he may be good for shallow joints like knees, elbows.

Dr. Tee quickly and accurately diagnosed my knee pain and explained treatment options in great detail. He was willing to spend extra time with me formulating a treatment plan. Very professional.

Dr. Tew is well-versed in current orthopedic practice and incorporates this into his work. After considering a number of conservative options to treat the cartilage damage in my left knee, Dr. Tew recommended OATS surgery. While a somewhat aggressive treatment mode, he explained the procedure in detail along with the recovery expectations. His bedside manner is extraordinary as he is willing to answer questions in detail if needed. I highly recommend Dr. Tew.

Probably not a good thing to have a "regular" orthopedic surgeon but I can say that I do with Dr. Tew and could not be more pleased with my outcomes. Just finishing recovery on my third procedure (achilles tear, should ligiaments tear and elbow ligament tear)and have bounced back with a 100% return to normal use and movements. No restrictions at all. Great bedside manner too.

Dr. Tew is the best I had the most confidence in his ability to treat my knee. He was always very honest and up front about my injury and recovery time which was important because I am a big baby. I did have 2 surgery's but I am fabo now. Thank you Dr. Tew

64 YEARS OLD PARTIAL HIP REPLACEMENTEXCELLENT RECOVERY

In my opinion I would not reccommend this doctor to anyone. I took my 12 Year old daughter to his office for a follow-up, after being seen at a walk in clinic.The walk in clinic put a temporary cast on her right arm and said she had a fracture on her elbow. They told me that the orthopedic doctor would put a permenant one on at her visit. The doctor told us she did not need anything on her arm, just not to use it in 5 weeks and return in one week to get another x-ray. When i got home we took the temporary cast off per doctors advice, and the swelling was worse and my daughter was in alot of pain. I called the doctors office and was put through to the nurses voice mail. No one returned my call. I took her to the ER and they found an additional fracture and put a cast on her arm and gave her pain medication. This was the first doctor to presribe any pain meds for her. I was told at the ER to follow up with an orthopedic doctor, and you can guarantee it will not be this doctor. In my… opinion this should have been fount before, and should not been sent home without anything.
