Dr. Winston Ramon Ortiz JR., MD

Unfortunately, Dr. Ortiz is the only neurologist in Tallahassee who accepts Worker’s Comp. He couldn’t possibly care any less about the issues suffered by the patient. He didn’t listen to me about the issues I was experiencing from a head injury. He never sent me to the Concussion Clinic. His practitioner at the time was shocked to learn he never sent me there, so she did it herself, which is where I learned I had Post Concussion Syndrome. It was the only time I got to see her because Worker’s Comp refused to let me see her again. She was great, but she no longer works there, so don’t waste your time because he’s worthless. In the end, he had a private meeting with the Worker’s Comp insurance people and told them that none of my pain had to do with a huge chandelier falling on my head, hitting me on my frontal lobe and again on the bridge of my nose before hitting the floor. Five plus years later, I’m still suffering from the aftermath of the accident. He’s the worst kind of human let… alone doctor.

Dr. Ortiz was very arrogant and unwilling to listen to problem. He made me cry in the office. Later at the testing scheduled, I arrived only to find out he had cancelled the appt without any prior notice.

I find Dr. Ortiz to be very communicative and very thorough. He's been my neurologist for approx. two years. I am 100% satisfied with my experiences.

Dr. Ortiz and Idella ARNP was professional and listen to all may concerns and answer my questions.

I was referred to Dr. Ortiz to get a neurologist diagnosis about the numbness in my fingers on my right hand. He prescribed medication twice that has not helped. He sent me for blood work that he had not reviewed when talking with me. I feel like a guinea pig and rushed out when he talks to me. I wish he would schedule my visits closer and put me on a medication that works. My fingers has been swollen for six months with no change. He has referred me to rheumatologist whom I won't be able to see until August. I am tire of having a numb hand with swollen fingers. I realize he is busy, but I wish he would make arrangements to monitor my condition and medications closer.

Havenâ??t seen him since initial visit only practitioners. Its impossible to reach a nurse . Dont they know every emergency doesnt require a ER visit and every call to the nurse cant wait 48 hours. Tire of being sick

I had seen lots of Doctors in Tallahassee for chronic migraines. None of then acted like they cared. Then I seen Dr. Ortiz and he is the most caring Doctor. He works with you and tries to find out what is causing them. He will never give up on you. If I need him all I have to do is pick up the phone and call. His nurse is helpful in any way she can and very sweet. His ARNP Gloria Crittenden make you feel important and she is a very caring person. You will not find a better Neurological clinic any where like this one. I trust my health is in good hands with Dr. Ortiz and you will too if you see him.

Dr. Ortiz doesn't even introduce himself before speaking with you. The Doctor's Assistant takes thorough notes and listens then goes and speaks with Dr. Ortiz. He doesn't let her finish and comes in with a doubtful and horrible tone questioning 1 or 2 of your comments. I've seen him 3 times and 2 was for Botox Injection, not much talking. I called with horrible side effects and went in 3rd time. He got mad b/c I didn't wait till my next Botox appmt. which would have been 1 1/2 months till then. The Chronic Migraine medicine he had me on contradicted with another medicine I'm on and was toxic for me...I got info. from CVS b/c I was very sick and I told him that. Dr. Ortiz wouldn't call in another med. till my next Botox appmt. b/c he was still mad that I had gone in with the previous side effects that are a lot better now without the botox. He basically told me to go to ER for 1 1/2 months. ER is not for that. Looking for new Neurologist.

I have been with Dr. Ortiz and his staff almost five years I love the way he takes time to listen and offers advice I feel I'm in great hands. thank you all for keeping me straight .........I go every three months for Dystonia when he walks in the room I feel relief thank you Dr. Ortiz and thanks for sharing the goat and the rope story best advise anyone has ever gave me.......thanks to all your staff there so nice.

I have have had Dr. Ortiz as a doctor since 1994 after I had a stroke and I have had serveral other diagnosis of nuerological problems since then and he has correctly diagnosed and treated each of them correctly. I like the atmosphere of his office and his staff.
