What a positive transformative experience getting both hips replaced 6 weeks apart. The "demo" relief of a steroid shot during the prior holidays sold me on the surgery. I had mostly heard scary stories from those who had it done years ago with a posterior incision. With the anterior incision approach, as he said, the relief from pain will be instantaneous. It's just a matter of recovering from the surgery which entails PT on those long neglected and misused leg muscles. 100% accurate on both accounts. With some timing issues and concerns about a different disorder diagnosis I have, I stayed in the hospital the first time. From this, I realized that I really could do the second one as an outpatient. It's incredible to believe, yes, outpatient. People were amazed to see my transformation, and my 92 yo mother could hear on the phone the vitality I had in my voice. It's a whole new lease on life. He's warm and precise. Lastly, although I had my sincere doubts ("pain travels down"), it… turned out that the left hip replacement virtually eliminated persistent left knee pain problems. Go with the best team!
