Dr. Yamira Soto, MD

Dr. Soto is a wonderfully great doctor. She’s been my doctor for 6 years now and I couldn’t get a better doctor than her. She listens to you, doesn’t rush you and has gotten all of my diagnosis’s right. I just love this Doctor!

She is very direct and tells you what you must do to get well.

I adore her! Great doctor! Great bedside manner!

Answers all your questions and listen to you with no rush

I have had Dr. Soto as my primary Doctor for the last four months and have found her be the most caring and considerate Doctor I've ever had, and as a senior, I've had many....Her insights are valuable as are her followups...I have reccommended Dr Soto to friends and family...If there ever was a Doctor who deserves a Four Star rating , it is she!!!

The purpose of my appointment was to meet Dr. Soto, and help her become familiar with my health history. We used this appointment to setup an appointment for a physical, write necessary prescriptions, and schedule blood work. The visit went well. I like Dr. Soto. She was easy to talk to, and she appeared to listen to my concerns. We scheduled a follow-up appointment (physical), and blood work. Dr. Soto mentioned that the blood work results would be ready in three business days. The blood work was the main reason I made the appointment. It was very important too me. She also wrote prescriptions that I needed to maintain my blood pressure. I attempted to pick of my meds from the pharmacy, but was told that my insurance carrier needed a doctor approval for the meds. The pharmacy contacted Dr. Soto's office, but an entire week had not received a response from Dr. Soto's office. This was disappointing, because I really needed the meds. I followed up regarding my blood work… four business days later, and was initially told that the only part of the results were available. The other results were either with Dr. Soto for her review, or still with the lab. It was not very clear to me. The person I spoke to on the phone made a note in the file. I called back a couple hours later, because I was very anxious to obtain the results, and was told that Dr. Soto had still not reviewed the results, but they were with her. The person I spoke to left an additional note, and said that I would either hear back the next day or the following week. I called back the next day, and was told that the blood work was not completed yet, and still at the lab. I was also told that the type of tests the lab was running could take weeks. This was not what I was told by Dr. Soto. This was very unsettling, and made me think that there was either something wrong with my blood test results, or that there was a major gap in communication going on here. This experience prompted me to cancel my follow-up appointment for a physical, and search for a new doctor.

Shouldn't ask an obese doctor for health advice. She told me not to lift weights, it's muscle that causes weight gain. Hard to believe her 60+ extra pounds are muscle.

Dr. Soto is an exceptional physician and she went above and beyond to make sure my mom was comfortable. I'll always be grateful for that.
