Dr. Yana M Van Arsdale, MD

She threw my medication, Lamictal, in the garbage. She had no medical reason to do so. She had just met me. She had not reviewed my medical history. She had not discussed her decision with my psychopharmacologist, Dr. Barley. She is very unprofessional. Her tossing my medication lead to me being placed me on suicide watch. She is not to be trusted by anyone. She is a threat to society. She’ll be losing her right to practice ASAP.

It is clear that Yana is not a professional person and in my opinion certainly should not be boasting as a medical doctor at all. She may have a degree but she should not be trusted to give advice to patients let alone medication. She teased a client who expressed that he had anxiety around doctors, she then refused to listen to his words and instead took one look at his body type and assumed he was on meth, when efforts were made to deny this radical and offensive claim, she accused him of lying. She did not listen to him any further, she did not make attempts to actually care for this patient and she continued to uncaringly ridicule him. I am not one to post negatively about professionals, but I know that this doctors visit has only served to further damage an already terrified and emotionally wounded man who came to her for support and help. She made the situation worse and I fear for anyone other potential client who might come through her door and face similar treatment.

I have had a very good experience with Dr. Van Arsdale I have been seeing her for many years. I was In a bad spot when I first started seeing her,but now Iam doing much better. I think she is very intelligent and cares a lot for her patients.I would rate her with 5 stars at the least.

Dr. V helped me to recover; adjusted my medications very well and properly diagnosed me. She was always there for me, through all these years.

She really needs to learn some basic manners and basic communication techniques.

I have a long standing Opiate addiction. Dr. V helped me so much. I wish had saw her years ago. My opiate addiction is nearly cured. I've never felt better in over 15 years. She spends time with me to change my thinking too.

Doctor Van Arsdale has been the perfect doctor for me for over ten years. I believe the only reason I survived this life is because of her help with addiction to substances and my mood swings. She is very professional and listens. She never judged me. Every call she has made has been the right one. I suggest her to anyone struggling with addiction issues.

Van Arsdale can't keep appointments straight she has no staff and is constantly messing up appointments and scheduling 2-4 patients at a time. Wait times are often well over 1 hour for a scheduled appointment. Not isolated either. I asked other patients and this is always the case. Very difficult to schedule appointments only to wait for three other people to be seen ahead of you. Waste. Of. Time. Seriously, trust your mental health to someone who respects you enough to not waste your time EVERY TIME.

Dr Van Arsdale is not for everyone but no Dr is. One has to find a perfect match when seeking a mental health professional. One size does not fit all. It is an intimate relationship like any other. Cost is an issue for everyone even the well off but acting surprised and put upon when a professional expects prompt payment is ridiculous and insulting. Dr Van Arsdale helped me to see that life is good and worth living. My family and I will be forever grateful to her.

I really wish this Dr. wouldn't have let me go. :( I saw her for 5 years. After seeing someone for so long, you develop a trust. It's not easy changing psychiatrists. Not easy at all. I provided a rating of how she was while I was seeing her, which was very good.
