Dr. Yaoming Gu, MD

I have SO much respect for DR. Yaoming Gu ! He has the sincere compassion for my medical issues, takes the time out to listen AND to explain all and anything that I may need to know. I may be the patient but Dr. Gu has the patience-- Hard to find one like him. Thank you Dr. Gu!

See Dr. Gu once, then get put on the fast track $$ conveyor belt of PAs that don’t listen, are impatient w questions & value compliant submission over any self- advocacy. You don’t need the additional pain. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Gu’s staff called and canceled a nerve ablation 10 minutes before it was scheduled. Pulling in the parking lot, sedative taken for the procedure, time taken off work, etc. So disorganized that they hadn’t filed for approval with insurance. Hubby and I chased them for 2 months about the approval then gave up. At one (scheduled) appointment sat for 2.5 hours waiting for Dr. Gu. Wound up seeing a nurse practitioner who knew nothing about my case didn’t even make any suggestions for treatment. It was a complete waste of my time, and a $300 charge to my insurance company!.....Got a call out of the blue with admission that “their office had dropped the ball, ablation finally approved”. Procedure scheduled, but despite reminder that he needed the sedative to relax the muscles it wasn’t called into the pharmacy. Told by staff, “oh you really don’t need it”. Maybe they should have burning needles put in their back without it. Horrible experience and an expensive procedure that offered no… pain relief.

Don't waste your money coming to this guy, his injections do not always work, he will never answer your questions and when pressed for answers, will get up and walk out. The first time I went there 2 years ago he prescribed pain medication. Every time I went back he asked if I needed a refill but I told him no; I didn't like taking it. This week I made an emergency visit because I couldn't stand the pain any longer. I could barely walk with pain sitting, standing and going into my foot and groin. He refused to give me anything. Just said they will check with my insurance on when they can do injections again. So I missed time from work, paid a large co-pay and left with no relief. I'm leaving these messages on every board I find. I'm so disgusted with his apathy.

I have Fibro no Osteoarthritis as well as other pain. I'm looking for another doctor because mine is not seeing patients. He spent 3 minutes in the office with me and then it was his nurse that said he wasn't going to see me! He couldn't tell me himself nor explain why! Not a very professional doctor!
