I suffer from a chronic pain disorder called Trigeminal Neuralgia. It is known to be the worst pain known to a human being. The first visit put me in extreme pain and I was treated like my illness was all in my head by the office staff. The doctor, Dr. Chakfe, confirmed I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and agreed with the Chief Neurosurgeon at SHANDS that diagnosed me and also performed my brain surgery. I should note, my disorder is also called the suicide disorder because many people have taken their lives due to the extreme pain. Stress, loud sounds, and harsh light are all triggers. Knowing this, they still didn't care how much pain I was in and how much of it was being caused by them. A year later, when I asked a new office manager to assist me in completing a form that would drastically improve my life, she dismissed me and refused to help. After pleading with her that I need help and providing evidence that many neurologist have completed this same documentation for other… patients, she said her office could not. This is when i realized that NOT ONLY DOES THIS OFFICE HAVE HORRIBLE PROFESSIONALISM, but they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS EITHER. Though my disorder is life threatening, they did not treat me like a person in need of medical assistance, but rather as a dollar sign. To this day, I have been messaging the office requesting copies of my medical records so that I could transfer to a different Neurologist, yet no-one wants to help me with this either. It's been months and no response. I've spent numerous hours on the phone trying to reach someone, but they will not pick up. I have messaged them through the portal and they have failed to answer. I thought doctors were supposed to help patients? OR send you to another professional that can? Sadly it looks to me like they are just LOOKING FOR A PAYCHECK and NOT LOOKING OUT FOR THE WELL BEING OF THEIR PATIENTS. I now understand why THEIR RATINGS ARE SO LOW. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LIFE.

My husband has been seen Dr. Chakfe at his office in Hunters Creek; however we went to see him last year to his regular office and my surprised that the office was empty, but his sign was still on the wall, I thought he was remodeling, tried to call the number I always call left messages but have not received any response. If he moved, I think the appropriate thing to do is to notify the patients and not let them lingering. I have now a new neurologist, hope this one does not disappeared like Dr. Chakfe.

Dr. Chakfe stated to me that he is not familiar with lymes Disease. This is very unusual for a Neurologist! His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired too. He likes to yell at his patients and tell them "I will not discuss this with you anymore, you need to see an infectious disease doctor!" When he was asked for the patients diagnosis. He simply would not give it. I strongly recommend you find another Neurologist!

This is by far the most rude, arrogant, disturbing, not to mention racist physician I have ever encountered with. He will not listen, he thinks he knows it all before you even explain your symptoms. He does not look your way while evaluating you. His facial expressions are scary makes you feel you are hated and not welcomed. There is no communication at all since he will not let you speak. He doesn't listen at all. What he says is what it is do not even try to argue. Horryfing experience. I will never go back and if you are reading this please do not go see this physician.

Veterans, their families, and friends should avoid a neurologist named Yassar Chakfe in Kissimmee, Fl. Dr. Chakfe will not provide "nexus letters" (statements) needed by veterans in VA claims. He is also the only Dr. that I have ever met that charges for copies of your medical files needed for VA claims. It is most unfortunate that millions of veterans DID provide their lives and health to give Chakfe a peaceful and secure place to make lots of money practicing medicine in America.
