Dr. Young Hi Shin, MD

the only reason why i went to see her is because my pcp is also at the same place. as a doctor she is not nice to patients and have to explain the medications that i am taking (as a gynecologist, she should have some knowledge of medications that are taken for pcos). no compassion for the patients and very rude approach to the patients, would not recommend to anyone!!! she tries to speed up the meeting time with the patient.

I was pleased to be diagnosed properly and to have my need addressed quickly.

Dr shin is very rude doctor. She has no compassion for her patients. I was 9 months pregnant n every week that I went to see I waited over an hour. She never once apologized. But the one time I was running hate she was upset with me. (Mind you I still had to wait 45 mins to be seen). She isn't good at explaining stuff to her patients. She has a heavy accent and it can become hard to understand her at times. I would never recommend her.

worse doctor ever! First of all ..it is very very difficult to understand what she is saying..she has a terribly thick accent. She is rude and short with you if you ask her to clarify wth she is saying. She was the only obgyn in the clinic closest to me and where my pcp is. I was seen by her a couple of years ago for a general checkup, which included a PAP SMEAR I also asked for a full STD check as well, the results came back and she told me that I have cancer!! basically I was crying the entire day in her office...she did nothing to calm my nerves..she told me its hpv...and its going to be cancer. I was so upset since I was only 25, I did not know what to do ...long story short..I wanted a second opinion Thankgod I did...I went to another center in Jamaica queens and saw a nurse practitioner who did another pap smear and the results came back negative. I was told I did not have HPV or anything. I was soo furious at Dr. Shin I complained about her...she put me through so much mental… anguish . I can never trust another doctor again. I DONT KNOW HOW THESE PEOPLE BECOME DOCTORS. ITS FRUSTRATING

Dr. Shin, I am 68 years-old and Dr. Shin is the most insensitive doctor that I have ever visited. She actually hurt me during an examination and made no apologizies for it - very poor bedside manner. She also ordered unnecessary test and created unnecessary office visit for the money. I went to her twice: one for the PAP and for a visit that wasn't necessary. I have changed to another doctor. I will not go back to her.

Dr. Shin was not very warm, I was going through a miscarriage and her bedside manner was less than stellar. She did not provide the moral support I needed from her at the time of care. I would not recommend any of my friends or family to Dr. Shin's practice.
