Dr. Youssef Boulis Ghaly, MD

First, I've been in medicine 40 years, so I know how it's supposed to work. First visit I signed release forms and took in my own paperwork. They needed some information and spouse took it in and gave it to the clerk and told her who asked for it. Got a phone call a week later asking why we didn't provide it. Second visit, he asked if he had met us before (??). I asked if he received my records and he said he didn't know, he has "a stack on my desk." I went for an echocardiogram (spelled wrong on their TV) and I am in a wheelchair and couldn't get up on the table. The heavier set girl in the room was extremely put out. I explained I am partially paralyzed and need something to hold onto once on my side, she didn't care. I told her I felt like I was falling, no response. I reported her to him and he said they were a contracted service. They did an ABI and recommended an AAA scan, never done even though I reported it 3 times. Last visit, he again asked if he had met us before. … He took personal phone calls during the visit, talked repeatedly about being #1 and his vacations (which are also shown on all the televisions in the waiting room). Each time I said I needed refillls on meds and they were not done. He had to make 3 trips to the office to get it done. i had labs done and 2 months later got a call saying I missed my lab appointment. I called back and told them I already had them and she put me on hold and then came back and said "well I guess you'll get your results when you come in." He is very personable and seems intelligent, but it was concerning to us the lack of being involved in our care and not knowing who we were. We were never examined.

I have seen Dr. Ghaly twice and both times he was very caring. So many Doctors these days don't seem to be interested in really helping their patients. Dr. Ghaly is not one of them. He has a wonderful bedside manner, he listened to what I had to say and helped me. I am so glad I found Dr. Ghaly, if you need a family Doctor, look no further. HE CARES!

Dr Ghaly is knowledgeable in all aspects of medical care. He takes the time needed for each patient. He cares about you and it shows. Dr Ghaly also has everything under one roof so you don't have to go to labs etc.

Just a really good doctor, takes time to talk and find out any problems, answers any questions and explains why he is giving certain medications. I recommend Dr. Ghaly

Well, let me put it this way. If it doesn't concern you to be denied care by letter during treatment for a potentially lethal medical condition without ANY input from you about the matter, than Dr. Ghaly is more than a qualified physician. If this type of unilateral behavior without any input from you or discussion of the circumstances is of concern, then I say be forwarned.

I am 70 yrs old. I thought all the good caring drs had died and all who were left had graduated the wharton school of finance. Then my wife and i were referred to dr. Ghaly. Boy were we lucky. One of the finest drs .we've ever had the pleasure to meet.just can't say enough good about him . He and his wife are real human being's who give a darn about regular people. We've been with him now over 5 years. Very intellegent but not condescending. Really listens to you. Sorry this is so long but he and his wife really earned this "atta-boy".

Good Doctor

he needs to get a new receptionist....she thinks she runs the office and doesn't pay attention to patients needs. She hangs up on people and also makes appts. That aren't put in the computer and makes people take time off from work to go there to be turned away. She also sends people away...turns patients away for no reason. Especially when he is your pcp for medicine like high blood pressure and thyroid problems...when she knowingly knows that is all you need to go to a pcp. She also forgets to write prescriptions on purpose. She is in the wrong business and ruining his good name as a dr. Always pretending she is the dr. Even when he tells her what to do and gives her charts and she just plain doesn't care. The rest of the staff are very professional and he is an excellent intelligent dr.

Dr, Ghaly is awesome. If it wasn't for his office manager I would continue to go there. However, as a previous reviewer stated the service is unprofessional. While trying to ask questions about my medical bill the phone is was continually ringing, while asking me if I can hold on repeatedly while she answered the phone calls. What was unnerving was how she openly discussed other patient's conditions freely and openly. I guess she is unaware of our HIP laws. My wait time was two hours and half. When I did see the doctor I got wonderful service. If I could bypass the office manager I would definitely return. Unfortunately, they are losing great clients because of her.
