Dr. Yvonne Denise Prioleau, MD

I recently had my son at Pennsylvania hospital, and Dr. Prioleau was the attending on call. I am a healthy 29 year old female with an uncomplicated full term baby. When it became time to push I was moved from PETU to my labor and delivery room. When Dr. Prioleau entered the room, my husband introduced himself, and asked for three things; to announce the sex, no episiotomy, and delayed cord clamping. I pushed only for 7 contractions (pushed every contraction), about a total of 30 minutes. During this (what I consider) short time I almost received an episiotomy (thank goodness for my husband),Dr. Prioleau announced the sex, and the cord was almost clamped after 30 seconds (thank goodness for my husband x2). My wishes have never felt more ignored in my life. And to top it all off; I am a resident physician at Penn and this is how I was treated.

Dr. Prioleau has been my doctor for the past 13 years! I have been blessed that she has been able to delivery all 3 of my children! I couldn't ask for a better doctor! She is a great listener, kind and patience! Her staff is awesome! I love Iris she is such a sweet person!

I can't say much about Dr. Prioleau because I waited over an hour before I gave up on my first scheduled appointment. However, the office is extremely outdated and cluttered. The equipment looks old, the examination seats are tearing, there's dark carpet in the patient rooms and it's stained, etc. I wouldn't have felt comfortable in the office setting to have any procedures done anyway. Left in a hurry, will not come back and would not recommend.

I had my daughter who is now 3 years of age at Penn hospital and Dr.Prilou delivered her..... it was a wonderful experience, and great delivery !!!!!

I would HIGHLEY recommend all to her ,she's amazing words couldn't explain.

I went to her on my first pregnancy, she didn't give me enough information. She brushing you off sometimes seems extremely exhausted. My delivery was terrible she gave me episiotomy which ended cutting into my anal and vaginal muscles. When I asked her about it she acted like she doesn't understand what I'm talking about. Now I went through 3 surgery trying to reconstruct everything. Be careful this doctor is reckless especially in complicating situations.

Dr. Prioleau is an excellent Dr. but she doesn't have much time to spend with you because of the number of patients. On my last visit I actually had an intern take care of me because I didn't want to wait any longer. She was good so I had no problem with her taking care of me.The staff is friendly enough but the way they handle urine (cups in bathroom, writing your own name on them) seems a bit unprofessional to me. The waiting area is a bit messy as well. Still I would recommend this doctor.

I would also recommend Dr. Prioleau. She is gentle and easy to talk to. I consider myself a patient person however, I was put to the test at my last appointment. My 1 hr 5 minute wait gave me nothing but opporutnity to elvauate the conditions of the ventilation system; carpeting, old dirty window treatments and walls. I was amazed that the University had not updated this building. Writing your own name on your urine sample in a magic marker, not cute. She's such a great doctor but time managment is not her offices best quality. Also, the staff needs get together and clean up if the University can not. A full makeover needs to be done IMMEDIATELY!!!

This Dr. made a great choice in going into this profession. she know what she is talking about and has a wonderful bedside manner.
