Refuses to listen to my comments and requests.

I have a number of rheumatologic conditions, so when I moved to the San Diego area, I got an appointment with Dr. Tutuncu. What a waste of everything. I think she is lazy and doesn't want to have to work for her patients. When I told her that I had a lot of pain and I didn't want to live on opiates, she said, "Oh, well, we can't help people like YOU!! Why did you even come here?" I guess that she forgot that the first rule is to first do no harm.

Dr. T is the best doctor I have ever seen I have had RA for 20+ years and I have seen multiple doctors. She’s knowledgeable, professional, kind and helps me to laugh through the pain. She is the only doctor I have ever met that goes beyond being a physician, she actually genuinely cares about her patients. She doesn’t just hand you pain pills and meds than move you along. My RA has never been better because of her. I really wish I had seen her earlier in my struggle with RA. I believe it would not have gotten to the point it is now

She is just great. She really cares about the patient. What people call rude in the comments below is just being straight forward. She won´t tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear! I wish more doctors were like that. Medicine in this country is based on prescribing medication and surgery, giving little importance to the root causes or prevention, but she doesn´t fall into that category of doctors. She will try her best to help you find the problem. I came into her office really scared and frustrated after seeing so many doctors and getting no answers to my problems. She listened to me, she took notes of everything I said and started working right away on trying to find me those answers. Oh, by the way, she is the first doctor I´ve visited that actually read my clinical history before I sat in there. She is super experienced, made me feel confident that I was in good hands. She is compassionate and a great professional!

I just started seeing Dr. Tutuncu this month and she is an excellent doctor listens to your concerns. I am Lupus and RA patient with other medical problems and she was very thorough with case! I also want to thank her staff for being so kind and helpful!

Best rheumatologist I have been to. Dr. Titanic does an excellent job. She is very concerned getting her patients off of medicine , into exercising, and in a positive mode. Most positive doctor I have dealt with.

Very rushed with no time to chat. Doesn't believe in pain medication or Fibromyalgia. Good at diagnosing RA, but selective and judgmental. Harsh at times toward patients, and makes belittling comments.

Best rheumatologist in San Diego county. She always listens and validates and is the ONLY rheumatologist I've seen in 10 years who was able to get me into remission.

Rude. Kept telling me to sit up straight, that I had terrible posture, as she repeatedly tapped me on the back. Then said, you like surgery, don't you. That was the final straw. She knew that I did not care, so when I left she told me to have a nice life. Very nasty and just mean.

I was referred to Dr. Tutuncu by my primary care physician based on some questions I had about a Lupus diagnosis I received 8 years ago after the birth of my second child and subsequent testing that has not always been clear with reference to a Lupus diagnosis. When I brought this up with Dr. Tutuncu, she rushed through several questions, abruptly told me to "strip down" and she would be back in a few minutes. When she returned, she poked and prodded several points on my body and then declared a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. No tests. No additional questions. Fibromyalgia. When I tried to question her diagnosis, she would not hear anything different. Whoa! Received the blood test results I had done after my appointment with her and lo and behold, I tested high for Rheumatoid Factor (not typically found in Fibromyalgia patients)! This doctor is arrogant, abrupt and rude.
