Dr Greenburg has been my primary for 8-9 years with little issues being that I only saw her 2-3 times in that time-- I was always sent to assistants. I have been prescribed a blood pressure medication for over ten years and when I submitted for a prescription refill via my insurance mail service on 12/16, I was called by Pacific Family on 12/21 (Wednesday before Christmas), letting me know that I need some blood work and an office visit for future refills. After confirming that my last refill would be honored, I didn't think of it until I ran out of my medication on 12/23. Naturally, their office was closed until today, 12/27, so I could not get any answers. Today I was informed that they would not give me my blood pressure med/water pill (Losartan HCTZ) until the blood samples were reviewed. Had they told me the truth before the holiday weekend, I would have made it a point to get it taken care of then, but here i am a week later, 4 days without my medication, retaining water like… crazy due to my body thinking I am on a water pill, and ultimately days out if I were to decide to wait for them to check my lab work. Its wild that a doctor would choose to force an office visit over my personal health, and something any perspective patients should consider prior. If this was a pain pill or anything else that is abused, I would understand.... Losartan is not that.
