Horrible experience. Very unprofessional staff Yvette Barnett in legal and Karen Mendez billing manager. Had an auto accident on 2/1/23, my insurance paid out med pay by 4/3/23. Total MD withheld my intake form with my attorney information from my insurance to collect the whole sum of med pay. I am an Illinois resident with Illinois license and plates. Illinois law divides med pay 3 ways, and the check is sent to the attorney. Total MD refused to refund 2/3 of the med pay to my attorney. Dealing with Total MD staff is a nightmare, Yvette Barnett in legal and Karen Mendez billing manager said they would take care of it, but after our initial conversation have ignored emails and calls from my attorney and myself. I have been calling and leaving voicemails everyday. It’s end of June 2024 and Yvette Barnett in legal and Karen Mendez billing manager are still ignoring my attorney and myself. Very unprofessional staff, turned a simple refund which was their fault into a hassle for me and… my attorney. My advice is stay away, you will get overcharged and be ignored even if you have an attorney.
