Dr. Robert O Schiftan, MD

After waiting 1 hour past my appt. time, I was told he would be another 20 minutes because he was reading MRI's. To do that on my appt. time is unacceptable. I did not see him.

My appointments are always prompt and professional. Great care. Nice office staff!!

He is relaxed and seems competent in his field

Had an appt. this past Week. I waited 1 Hour and 20 minutes!! The doctor is terrible, rude answering cell phone calls and incompetent. Had no concern for my pain. Don't waste your time or co-pay with this doctor. This was a waste of my time and money. So unprofessional!

Staff is wonderful, Wait times are minimal, Doctor care is very personalized. No trouble, Accepted my check payment with no hesitation. I have been seeing Dr.schiftan for a year now and my migraines cause me less discomfort and are less frequent.

There have been times when I've waited in his office over 1 hour. He just writes a prescription with "how are you doing" nothing's changed, still having mild seizures, "here's a refill". I've been trying to get my medical records to change doctors but his office never returns phone calls. I've had other doctors and pharmacies call him with no response. I've left him a written letter requesting my records and sent a certified letter. Letter was not deliverable for signature and returned to me. My next step is to make a formal complaint with Fl licensing dept.

Reading through the reviews for Dr. Schiftan certainly reminded me of the time I was unhappy with him. And while its true that getting an appointment and him being on time was an issue, I feel it should be emphasized that much of this was due to his old office staff and the management it was under. I have been seeing him for six years, for his old staff I didnt care. Now, and since he joined Delray Advanced Medical he is a changed man and I actually look forward to my tests and appointments.

Both my parents have been going to Dr. Schiftan for over 16 years. When it comes to competence regarding diagnosis he is a great Doctor, I know!What ALWAYS bothered me was his carelessness as he was always running late to all his appointments. My parents and I oftentimes waited over an hour, for some reason they still refused to see another Neurologist. Over the years I got used to it so naturally it took me by surprise when he located to the Delray Office and actually arrived on time to his appointments. His new office staff is friendly and helpful. They always make mom and pops feel welcome and for that I am very grateful. I wouldnt have written a positive review for this guy two years ago, BUT the changes he made to office, staff and self a worthy of recognition.
