Dr. Howard Jay Levy, MD

I had my right ACL replaced in 2008, and it's in terrific shape (really, better than it was before the injury). So, I went back to him in 2013 with a torn left ACL. And I'm a few weeks into recovery, and the knee is doing quite well. I'll send him photos of me on a mountain later this year!

A Medical Magician. I came to Dr. Levy with both - unknown at the time - a herniated disc in my spine and a badly torn rotator cuff. Obviously, Dr. Levy is a shoulder and arm guy, but he still had the care and concern to get a FULL diagnosis of everything prior to rushing into shoulder surgery. Soon thereafter, Dr. Levy did my surgery - with ZERO implications and with a better-than-textbook recovery. He - and his staff - followed up with phone calls, were kind, courteous, full of smiles and warmness. With Levy even knowing when to throw in a zinger of a joke. --and all this despite being deemed a medical 'special case' due to the uniqueness of my injury. Wait was never long, from the front desk to the time you leave every individual on his staff was 100% thorough with everything they did, and he has pretty nifty glasses. Just saying. I MORE than recommend Dr. Levy. I believe seeing Dr. Levy should be a NECESSITY if you have any issues with your arm or shoulder.… Hope this review puts you in the right direction.

Excellent Surgeon. Doesn't sugarcoat anything-he tells it like it is which is what I want in a Doctor. Patient, Caring Doctor who I would reccomend him in a heartbeat.We went to 2 other Orthopeadic surgeons that misdiagnosed my daughter. If it wasn't for him, my daughter would still be in pain we no hop[e of getting better.

Dr. Levy performed two surgeries on me, labrum repair and ACL reconstruction. The shoulder was 6 years ago and I have not had any issues or pain since. I am now 6 months into knee rehab and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. To those about to have knee surgery be aware there is no magic bullet to recovery. I have done some form of rehab 6 days a week for the last 6 months. That said, Dr Levy is an amazing surgeon.

I highly recommend Dr. Levy as a Physician and Surgeon. He is very knowledgeable in the field, which made me feel at ease about having surgery. He was very detailed in explaining my surgical procedure prior to surgery and very reassuring the day of the surgery.My surgery was very successful. He's a great Physician.

After tearing my left ACL and meniscus playing basketball, Dr. Levy took great care of me from initial consultation to several follow up appointments. He is very honest and specific with his pre-op and post-op instructions which allowed me to handle my expectations accordingly. It has been nearly 4 months since my surgery and I feel great. A few more months and I expect to be back on the basketball court.

I was very impressed with the manner in which the entire staff supported me throughout my entire knee surgery experience. The kindness and thoroughness they all demonstrated was a pleasant surprise and the considerate effort they all put forth in assuring my surgery was a success left me feeling truly cared for and I believe Dr. Levy's team sets an excellent example of what true professionalism in Healthcare Industry should be across the board.

Dr. Levy gets an A+ rating from me and my family. I am a tennis player, I use to compete so I get injured once in a while and there is only one MD/surgeon that I trust who promises and delivers. Being an RN, Dr. Levy is quite impressive!!!He is highly recommended!

I managed to go 56 years without ever breaking a bone or needing any kind of medical procedure. A number of months ago I somehow 'tweaked' my knee. Up until this point, life's aches and pains usually faded with time.This time around, my knee wasn't getting any better. I decided to see an expert. I was fortunate enough to come across Howard J. Levy.When he examined me I knew I was in the hands of an expert. I found his manner very re-assuring. He quickly set up an MRI appointment and the results confirmed his expectations.Since my damage needed to be surgically repaired, I made the appointment for the following week (I want this behind me).Doctor Levy came in to see me before the procedure. He made markings to guarantee the correct knee was being worked on. He explained what he was going to do and the next thing I knew, I was in recovery.The pain is gone, I am most satisfied. In my opinion, Dr. Howard J. Levy is the best in the business.
