His health literacy research has appeared in high-impact journals including JAMA Internal Medicine and been featured by outlets such as Reuters Health. He is an editor of several books, including Neurosurgery Fundamentals and The Evolution of Health Literacy.
Through SCOLI, Dr. Agarwal runs a weekly trainee education and research conference and a quarterly spine and scoliosis patient support group. He is a member of the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation Cushing Circle of Giving.
Outside medicine, Dr. Agarwal is a dedicated martial artist in Taekwondo, Krav Maga, and Jiu-Jitsu, having served for over a decade as a certified instructor, national judge, and school owner.
