Dr. Stanley Idiculla, MD

I went to see Dr. Idiculla for painful foot cramping which kept me awake at night. After a perfunctory examination his diagnosis was that my high arches were causing the foot cramping. His solution was to have 'custom' shoe inserts made at a cost of $500.00 which was NOT covered by insurance. He then made molds of my feet and a week or so later the $500.00 shoe inserts arrived in the mail. The 'custom' shoe inserts did not appear to be much different than those available at any drug-store for $15.00 or so. They had to be cut to size to fit into my shoes; and they certainly did not alleviate my foot cramping. So several weeks later I went to see another doctor at GW Hospital who (correctly) diagnosed my foot-cramping problem as residual nerve damage from a spinal stenosis operation of some years ago. He treated my condition with botox and the painful foot cramping was reduced by maybe 90%. Later I wrote a letter to Dr. Idaculla respectfully asking for my $500.00… back because his shoe inserts had done nothing for me; and it was necessary to get another diagnosis and the botox treatment from another doctor. A few days later I got a call from one of his staff (Tera?) who (in an annoyed and confrontational voice) informed me my money would not be refunded because the 'custom-made' inserts were not returnable. She further berated me that it was my fault the doctor had not cured my problem because I had not come back to him for further treatments (!!!!)
