Dr. Susan Streeter, PhD

Please stay away from Dr. Streeter at all costs if going through a custody evaluation. Dr. Streeter's report (if you could call it that) was in my favor so this review is not a bitter or spiteful review but purely honest and I am very scared for families in the Central Valley that use Dr. Streeter for a custody evaluator. Dr. Streeter is not coherent enough to take on this extremely important role. She withheld the report from us for over 9 months and the report ended up being not even 6 pages and did not report on any clinical evaluation of either parent or the children. The report included several grammatical errors and was barely legible. The report she put together was embarrassing to put in front of a family law judge. Dr. Streeter went months at a time during this process and would not contact me or the other party or respond to any correspondence from attorneys collaboratively. When asked about her process or the deadlines she continued to miss, Dr. Streeter said she had no… idea about any deadlines or no clue what the evaluation should entail. Dr streeter went over no custody factors in the evaluation and no clinical terminology was ever included. An elementary student could have done a better job conducting interviews and creating a report. Whoever is reading this please RUN. Do not waste your time or money or put your children's future at risk by using this woman to conduct your child custody evaluation. Luckily for me, I had so much more evidence in my case than only this lousy evaluation, but please read my review and the others. This is complete insanity that Fresno county family law courts are continuing to allow this woman to do so many children a disservice.

I have been seeing Dr. Streeter for the last few years now. She is deliberate and sincere. I have always gotten scheduled when needed. Her office is friendly and there is a positive environment. If you are looking for someone who cares about you then I would definitely go to Dr. Streeter.

Jekyl and Hyde personality; charming and nice one day then cold, mean and adversarial the next. Bitter, angry with a chip on her shoulder. Be very cautious. Should be stripped of her credentials.

Court referred custody eval. Father had history of domestic violence and anger management problems (mother no drugs/alcohol/violence ever). She ignored all that. My child was only 9, but very articulate and well spoken, so she assumed she was coached. Made my child so traumatized at being called a liar-she still shivers at the mention of her name over 5 years later. I was proved right. Father had another restraining order, was fired from law enforcement job for excessive force, used illegal drugs, was ordered to have supervised visits, and finally lost all visitation/contact. She was a nightmare!!!!

Dr. Susan Streeter served my family with counseling during a health crisis. Her insight, compassion and observations greatly helped us through the other side. She has a vast knowledge base, good boundaries, and is highly intelligent. Her attention to detail is amazing, as she often recalls information from prior sessions to assist in her supportive feedback. She does not tell you how to think or what to do -- she helps you navigate choices based on your own free will as you sort and unravel situations in her care. I would seek Dr. Streeter's assistance again without hesitation. We are grateful.

Was ordered to Dr. Streeter by the County for Family Custody Evaluation after Tier 3 Mediator recommended my daughter be taken from her mentally ill Mother and placed in my legal custody. Dr. Streeter was given 3 months to complete the evaluation...she took 6 months. Sympathized entirely with the mentally ill Mother and declared that my concerns about the Mother's mental illness and their effects on our daughter were invalid. Heck! The Superior Court Judge even shared my concerns about the Mother. However, Dr. Streeter was more concerned about the privacy rights of a woman who is doing severe long term damage to our daughter. Susan Streeter should be avoided at all costs. I have no doubts that she takes this court-ordered work because she cannot make a living helping paying clients. Run. Don't walk away from this non-professional. Put up a fight and compel the Court to select a better professional. When a Phd. acknowledges a parent's "inability to cope with stress, which can be… accompanied by periods of acute psychosis" and then recommends full time to the same mentally ill parent? This woman is no professional. She is something else.
