Dr. Sandeep Samant, MD

Dr. Samant is the best head and neck cancer surgeon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He saved my 19-year-old son's life, and I am happy to report he is now five years cancer-free and living his best life. Dr. Samant has a very calm demeanor and is a very skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate doctor. Over the past five years, I have entrusted my son's care to him. He takes a great deal of time explaining any procedures and always answers all of our questions. Dr. Samant is a true blessing, and I can never thank him enough for everything he did for my son and our entire family.

Dr. Sandeep Samant is truly a blessing. My husband had tonsil cancer and Dr. Samant performed TORS surgery on the tumor along with neck dissection for a node. He is the kindest, most compassionate and proactive surgeon with a very positive approach to curing the cancer. His wealth of experience and knowledge about head and neck cancer led us to him. We trust him completely with my husbands care in battling this disease. We cannot say enough good things about the care my husband received at Northwestern Head and neck cancer center, NW hospital in Chicago and Dr. Samant, his top-notch team and hospital staff. Thanks to every one of them from the bottom of our hearts!!! Wish we could give them 10 stars.

Dr. Samant is calm, empathetic, knowledgeable and skilled. His staff is incredibly responsive and proactive. At times I felt like I was their only patient. I highly recommend.

i first met dr. sandeep samant, m.d., after being diagnosed with neck cancer back in 2006. i had seen him several years prior as a simple throat patient. it was a referral. he did an endoscopy on my throat, and, right away, he knew what he was looking at, and, put me at ease! unfortunately, i joined hands, the group for head and neck cancer patients. we were all gathered together. nothing but harsh words for dr. samant! strange-this coming from men and women whose lives dr. samant had saved!! the ingratitude!! he, right away, struck me as exceedingly young to be in the position he was in! head of a department! he looked, honestly, like a college kid! i found out today by going to this fine man's curriculum vitae that he speaks seven (7) languages! i have just watched several dvd's about j. robert oppenheimer. the father of the atomic bomb. dr. sandeep samant, m.d., is in his category! oppenheimer could speak 7 languages.

I have been waiting for 2 hrs just to see him. He may be good but the wIt is horrible

Dr. Samant treated my husband very recently for oral cancer. We feel so lucky to have met him. While many surgeons are often short and sometimes rude to the patients, Dr. Samant is wonderfully patient and courteous and takes the time to listen to your concerns, to explain all the options and to make sure that you understand them before you make a decision about treatment. He is also an excellent surgeon. My husband's surgery went on without a glitch and he is now free of cancer and not requiring any additional treatment because Dr. Samant was able to remove his entire tumor with clean margins. If you have to fight cancer, it is so wonderful to have a doctor like Dr. Samant on your side!

Dr. Samnant and his entire staff treated me with total dignity and respect from the first office vist and still continues that to this day. I was very lucky to have been referred to this dedicated proffesional and staff. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Samant removed my thyroid this week. He is an incredibly talented surgeon and a true expert in his field. I had many choices, but Dr. Samant was the one surgeon that was willing to work with me and let me take part in making important decisions regarding my own healthcare. In the end, I had a total thyroidectomy with minimal scarring and downtime. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!

This doctor does not LISTEN to the patient. He decides before he even walks into the room what he thinks is going on and then, with a patting-you-on-the-head mentality, explains away anything you tell him. The office staff was amazing, but he could use a refresher course in bedside manners.
