Dr. Cynthia Lee Kooima

Dr Kooima was prepared for my visit. She performed some tests to determine my range of motion. Then she showed me the X-rays that illustrated the cause: no injury, “ just” arthritis. She thoroughly explained the implications of this for further treatment vs the “wait and see” option. I left OrthoAZ feeling confident that I had been fully informed about my condition and about my options. Also knowing that the decision was mine. I would recommend Dr Kooima to anyone.

She does a really good job in addressing the concern and offers good solutions for care. Always professional and is vey caring.

Dr. Kooima repaired my right rotator cuff several years ago, and did a great job. I recently injured the left rotator cuff, so I went back to Dr. Kooima again. She's very thorough, and instructed me to get my A1C levels down before she would do the surgery. Many don't understand the importance of lowering A1C levels before surgery, but it's vital for proper health and healing. She went through my MRI with me, explained tbe issues with my tear and how she would complete the repair. She and her staff are wonderful before, and after. I highly recommend Dr. Kooima.

We connected right away. She showed me the pictures from the scan, and details of each slide. Although this will be a difficult recovery for me, she was upbeat and considerate.

Dr Kooima is very upfront with information and explains things so easily to me so that I can understand the results of my treatment and surgery. She's very pleasant and friendly. She spends all the time I need with me to talk and explain answers to all my questions. I leave her office knowing exactly what the treatment process will be and having all the answers to my questions.

I had an unconventional visit and Dr. Kooima was absolutely magnificent! She listened very well, she showed me exactly my condition and why certain things are the way they are, and was very upfront and honest. I appreciated that she was honest in her findings and that my situation didn't need further intervention at this time. She was also upfront that traditional treatments would not benefit me. She didn't push anything unnecessary on me and I appreciated her honesty. Very patient, and very kind. She is a true class act that cares about people and her profession.
