Dr. Daniel Augusten Carr, DO

I was experiencing incredible back pain and the ER referred me to Dr. Carr. He ordered an MRI and found that my cervical disc between my C4 and C5 was pushing into my spinal cord. He referred me to a pain specialist as well as physical therapy but ultimately I needed surgery to fix this unique issue. With this being my very first surgery, I was extremely nervous and scared. I came to him with a list of questions and he took everyone of them seriously. He will give you the honest, best medical advice, and is very objective. I got three other opinions and did a lot of my own research on finding the best neurosurgeon which ended up being Dr. Carr. I was very happy with how successful the surgery went and recovery is going great! I’m feeling stronger and stronger every day, and I know if I have questions or need anything that he is there to answer all of them. I appreciate the new opportunity he has provided me.

My husband had a somewhat complicated course of recovery following a cerebral hemorrhage, which resulted in an EV drain, intrathecal antibiotic treatments into the drain following an infection, and ultimately a VP shunt to deal with hydrocephalus. Over the past year, we have learned to trust Dr Carr’s opinion and expertise. He is a very skilled surgeon, who takes the time to listen and address all of our questions and concerns. We have found his staff to be organized and efficient both within the office and hospital setting.

Went to Dr Carr last year after dealing with leg pain and numbness in my foot. Been doing injections and physical therapy for five year. I ended up having him do a L5 S1 spinal fusion and it is the best decision I could have made. He never pressured me into anything gave me the information and always willing to answer any questions I may have. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who is honest fair and straightforward with you.

I recently was treated by Dr. Daniel Carr for a fractured vertebrae. He quickly setup a surgical procedure to repair the break. He performed a Kyphoplasty under sedation and I was able to go home within hours. Immediately, I felt pain relief. Dr. Carr is a caring, down to earth doctor. He explained the options available and made certain that all my questions were answered. I would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Carr and his efficient staff.

We can't recommend Dr. Carr highly enough! The first time my father saw him he had been almost bed ridden due to severe back and leg pain for years. Dr. Carr was attentive, patient and caring. He quickly discovered the problem others had missed. After spinal surgery with Dr Carr, my father is pain free and rapidly regaining his mobility. Dr Carr went above and beyond to support him through his hospital stay and rehab. He truly gave my father a new lease on life and we will be forever grateful!

Saw Dr. Carr for less than 10 minutes. Reviewed imaging (that was over 2 years old) and quickly stated he was unable to help me. Did not provide alternative solutions, did not show empathy, lacked patient care. Unless you enjoy feeling dismissed by your doctor steer clear.
