Dr. Daniel Jay Mayer, MD

Can’t begin to tell you how amazing Dr. Mayer has been. He saved my vision, after an ER visit, called to check on me on Thanksgiving evening, and had been there for me when flare ups have occurred in my eye. Incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and professional. Highest recommendation!

Dr. Mayer has been the family ophthalmologist since he started his practice many years ago. He treated my Mom throughout her life for glaucoma and other eye diseases. I've been going to him longer than I care to remember. Once diagnosed with glaucoma myself, I continued going to him even though I live in Columbus. I now need surgery, and he doesn't do that any more. I hate the thoughts of someone else treating my eyes. Dr. Mayer rates a 10 in my eyes, and I can still see just fine - with a little help from my friendly doctor.

I have seen this Doctor for about 3 years. Started to have some concerns about what he said about my eyes and the way I was treated the last time I was there. Very up set, will never go back and have found by going to a new Eye Doctor with the Cleveland Clinic....... I do NOT have anything wrong with my eyes... So I guess Dr. Mayer was wrong. Very disappointed in him.

Best eye Doctor I've ere been to! Took his time explaining my eye condition to me. Made recommendations. I felt he really cared about me!!

Dr. Mayer has been seeing my son for 13 years, he is excellent. He is professional, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to all!

Dr Mayer has been my mother's doctor, she had a disease in her one eye, even though she lost her sight in the eye he took very good care of her other eye.He is one of the most caring doctor I have ever had. Dr Mayer is the best.

I have been going to Dr. Mayer for 7 years now, great doctor and excellent staff. Everytime I come for my appointment, the staff knows me by name, I never have to tell them who I am, its almost like they are family.
