My 83-year-old father suffered from intense pain radiating from his hip down to his leg, making it almost impossible for him to walk. During his initial visit to the doctor, he was prescribed steroids without an MRI being ordered. Unfortunately, the steroids were ineffective, and his pain remained unbearable. At his second appointment, the doctor administered a cortisone shot, which also failed to provide relief. Although an MRI was eventually scheduled, it was delayed for two weeks, and the doctor assured us that the shots would suffice. After three days of worsening pain, we contacted the doctor's office to request pain medication, which was never provided. In the meantime, no additional treatment was offered, and my father continued to endure severe pain and immobility. As his condition deteriorated, we took him to the emergency room, where it was revealed that he had a broken hip. Surgery was arranged immediately. My recommendation to Dr. Raab is that when an elderly patient,… especially one who is diabetic, presents with hip pain, an MRI should be prioritized to avoid serious complications. Managing symptoms alone is insufficient and inappropriate for a patient of this age and condition. This approach is vastly different from treating younger individuals. Please do better.

What a great doctor. I had a torn tendon in my elbow and he did surgery and I feel like I have a new elbow. Great bedside manner, very easy to talk to, really listens to your concerns and ease my mind about surgery.

Ten years ago, Dr. Raab performed surgery on me when I was admitted to Phoenixville with a shattered shoulder and broken elbow. He not only managed to cobble together the five biggest pieces in my shoulder, but was able to salvage the blood supply. I now have full range of motion in both joints. I will always be grateful to him.

Just had bilateral knee replacement and just over 2 weeks later I'm pain free, walking straighter. He takes the time to listen.

I was a CT tech and use to looking at patient injuries. I fell and broke my shoulder and it looked like a jigsaw puzzle. I was totally impressed by Dr. Raab after seeing the films of my shoulder post surgery. I have worked with many doctors as well as having gone to many doctors and I would rate Dr. Raab #1 professionally and personally.

Not only is Dr. Raab an excellent surgeon, he is also a very caring , thoughtful person. This makes for a very pleasant experience, and I would recommend him to anyone.

A little over a year ago dr. Raab replaced my damaged ligament with a different one provided by a generous cadaver. Here I am now doing all the things I did before my injury which happened when I fell off of a ladder at work. Dr. Raab really listened when I expressed my concerns. Beyond that, he was so friendly and personable that I felt I knew him much better than what I really did. He is extremely easy going but when it comes time to examine his patient, or x-rays, he is very intense and focused and at his best. Mine was a workman's compensation case and I could have chosen any orthopedic surgeon I wanted. I am so glad that I did my homework and settled on the doctor that I did! So whoever is looking through these reviews, I hope the best for you. But you would be wise to stop looking when you have found Dr. David Raab.

Dr. Raab is truly a one of a kind Dr. He makes the often painful and disrupting surgery an easy and efficient process. His bedside manor is second to none and his follow up and positive attitude helps patients get through an often tough time.
