Dr. David Marston Paltin, PhD

I originally went to Dr. Paltin for help with a very difficult person at work. He helped me understand the situation in all its complexity, and helped me find ways to deal with the person productively. During our work together, other issues came up, and he helped me work through them as well. His training and experience give him the flexibility to respond in the moment, and his empathy and engaged, caring style helped me dig into difficult areas from my past, things I wasn't even aware I was carrying around for many years. I have recommended Dr. Paltin to several friends who have also found him to be very helpful and caring. His ethics are impeccable and he is worthy of trust, even for someone like me who hesitates to open up. I'm very glad I found such a good psychologist, after having ineffective therapists in the past. If I could change one thing, it would be the variable scheduling. We make each appointment at the end of each session, and sometimes it's a different day or time… from one week to the next. I get it, though, with teaching classes and helping other clients, it must be hard for him to create a static calendar.

Dr Dave has worked miracles with my teen boy. Can't explain it, but this is the first therapist that has gotten thru to him!

Dr. Paltin has helped me with anxiety and problems at work, as well as some childhood issues and trauma that I didn't realize were affecting me. He is very aware and present during our sessions, and is engaged in the process of healing/therapy. He doesn't always answer my questions, but I think it's a good thing because I have to figure some stuff out for myself. I know he cares about how I'm doing, and has helped me progress a lot. It took me a long time to trust him, but that was because of my trust issues and past experiences. Now that I know he is there to help and not judge me, I'm able to work on deeper pain and start taking better care of myself. I recommend Dr. Paltin to anyone who is looking for a good therapist.
