Dr. David Andrew Rankine, MD

Do not waste your time or money going to this "doctor". He spends alot of time talking story through out the first appt. He does not listen to the patient or read why they are there. He does not read lab results or information the doctor that reccomended him might have provided. He orders lab tests that have already been done. He creates problems that are not there that he can test for in house even though it has nothing to do with why the patient is there. He talks badly about the treatment the patient is receiving from their doctor and tries to convince the patient to follow his ideas for treatment instead. He does not listen even when you repeatedly tell him what you are there for. And at the end of the day his diagnosis is...maybe carpel tunnel is why my body was shutting down. I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica which has nothing to do with carpel tunnel disease. I found this man a total waste of time and money and have asked my doctor to please not… recommend him to her patients. If for no other reason than it reflects badly on her that she would send a patient to this quality of a dictor.

Having seen numerous doctors, Dr. Rankine found the problem immediately and treated it with care. Yes, there were long wait times in the office, but the care was more than worth the wait. I'll wait for a physician who will take his time with you, check on your needs outside the office and be there when you need him. Isn't that what a physician is for?

I went to make a follow up appointment with Dr Rankine and could not reach his office. I never received notice that he was no longer in practice (a long with so many other of his patients). Trying to scramble to find a new neurologist to get much needed medication for trigeminal neuralgia was a nightmare.

He was awesome. On time, took all the time we needed to answer our questions, and start a treatment course. Happy he is here in Alaska!!!

Excellent physician who had to leave for personal reasons

How dare you up and shut office door in Chattanooga without notifications of any sorts. What the SNOT am I supposed to do? Or how about the other thousands of patients? Knowing how hard it is to get into another neurologist office? That’s pretty Smurfin sorry of you to do to all of us! What happened to the Hippocratic Oath you took? Guess it didn’t mean anything to you.

True professionals that care about their patients don't leave without giving them a notice so they can find a new doctor. No excuses for this. Shame!!!

I am a former patient of Dr. David Rankine's in Chattanooga, TN. Despite his claim he notified his patients before he closed his practice, I am one of thousands of patients who was NOT notified and left in the dark and without a neurologist and someone to provide my anti-seizure medications. Total transparency: I am a member of the local media here and we did a story on Dr. Rankine. As a patient, I am absolutely disgusted. There are so many patients who have multiple seizures day and need anti-seizure meds to allow them to lead somewhat of a normal life. Patients trusted him and put their health and lives in his hands. If you're considering using Dr. Rankine in AK, I suggest you do your research first.

I am one of the MANY patients in Chattanooga that this person just up and ran out on. No refills ... No letter of explanation.. No Dr referrals or anything . I know someone who worked at his office and they said he knew he was moving for about a year before he moved. I find it somewhat rediculus that he has the nerve to list that he still has an office in Chattanooga. Just call the Chattanooga office and listen to the. .... No longer in Service recording. He has even made the Local News in Chattanooga about leaving his patients. I would definitely not reccommend this Dr to anyone I care about..

GOOD RIDDANCE IS ALL I AM GOING TO SAY!
