Dr. Eric Javier Venegas, MD

Dr. Venegas is cold and arrogant. I was appalled by the way I was treated. He was dismissive of my concerns and even scoffed at some of my questions. I would never recommend him to anyone. I regret not finding another doctor as my pregnancy / delivery experience was downright traumatic. He forces women into inductions, won't allow birth plans or any vbacs. Huge red flags. His nurses are great, but he is hardly there. I maybe saw him every other appointment or two. Even if you are on medicare, please research other options.

I have gone to Dr. Venegas' office for several years now for my pap-smears and check-ups. Before recent times, my biggest complaint was the wait time. I could be there easily 30 minutes to an hour before being seen, they book a lot of people for the same appointment time, the waiting room is always full of patients. On my most recent visit, I went in for my routine check-up and to have my IUD removed. The NP kept asking me “Are you sure?” to the point of making me question if that's what I wanted even though that was the entire reason why I made the appointment! They did a blood draw as well for my annual exam and left the nastiest bruise I have ever gotten from blood work. When I got the bill, the office mis-coded the tests as "diagnostic" instead of "routine" so I was stuck with the $500 in labs on top of paying over $200 to have the IUD removed PLUS the copay. I was furious! I went in to get it fixed, and the labs were finally adjusted, but I just learned they did not… fix the pap smear lab code and it’s been several months since I went in. Dr. Venegas is a nice man and all, but I'm tired of giving his practice second chances only to be stuck waiting long periods for visits and wasting hours of time talking with insurance, labcorp, and his office about getting a routine billing code corrected. It’s just not worth it.

This doctor can be absolutely abusive at best in labor. I have had three friends deliver with him- I was there for two. He rudely told one mom in labor that she “better respect me” when he didn’t like the position she was pushing in and refused to lay on her back in stirrups. His episiotomies on my other friend left her almost completely incontinent and she had to have reconstructive surgery because of it. He is nice enough before birth, and I am sure a lot depends on the TYPE of birth you want to have, but I would be very very wary of the doctor. I do not think he truly cares about women- much less respects women.

Servicio terrible. No te aceptan si quieres cambiar de doctor, más son políticas privadas que los pacientes no saben. Mi pregunta es, pq un doctor niega la atención? Es ético?

I love Dr. Venegas and his entire staff. I have been seeing him for almost 3 years now and always pleased with my visits.

Dr. Venegas is an excellent and caring doctor, he takes the time to listen to his patients. I recommend everyone I know, to him. The staff is friendly and understanding. I felt so comfortable and safe during my pregnancy, I couldn't have asked for a better physician

If you are pregnant, I would highly recommend you going somewhere else for an Obstetrician. This is coming from a Mother with one child and one on the way. I chose this office because it was very close to my house. The convenience is not even worth it. My first appointment was to have a consultation with the NP about my history. It went okay- she just read questions to me off the computer for me to answer. On my next appointment I was the first appointment after lunch and found myself waiting almost 45 minutes for a pap smear. I was the only one in the office. I encountered the same woman from the first appointment. As I'm on the table with my gown on, a lady knocks loudly and just comes in the room. She told the woman "you gotta go, Venegas needs you in surgery" and asked if I could reschedule and I said yes. I get my clothes on, then she tells me, oh no you have to stay we are having someone else come in here to do the pap smear, so I had to get undressed again. I also found out that… the lady I had been dealing with that said she was the NP, was not the NP, so who was she? I still don't know. It has been SO hard for me to get my prescriptions for Zofran sent it. The front desk staff was very unfriendly. Kimberly helped me. I'm not sure if she felt sorry for me or what. The NP was very nice, but fake(Chandra). It has been an unpleasant experience all around. When trying to ask the "manager" what the protocol was when dealing with pregnancy she had no clue what to say. Then I went on to say I thought they were being neglectful with me, because that is the truth, and she said "then I should probably go somewhere else. SO I did! Picked up my medical records and went somewhere else WHO CARES!!! I felt like they just wanted my money.

Dr. Venegas and staff (especially Tori and Tonya) are phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend. A truly compassionate, intelligent, and dedicated physician.
