Dr. Faris Medhat Fadheel, MD

We haven't found a medication to stop my seizures and they've all included negative side effects. So I tried to ask Dr. Fadheel about using natural remedies, like dieting, meditation and vitamin supplements, that I've been researching along with RSO and CBD oil. Instead of talking with me about how these things might be beneficial he completely writes it off and says that there is a cannabinoid medication that the FDA has approved. I tried asking him about that and he immediately starts yelling saying that he wouldn't prescribe it. So I ask why he won't so he begins getting louder and then told me to see a different doctor if I don't like what he has say. Not once did I raise my voice, interrupt him or tell him that he is wrong all I said was that I'm curious and that I'm getting desperate because I haven't been able to work or have an even somewhat normal life for the past year because of my seizures and the side effects of all the medications I've been on. I'm just trying to get… better anyway that I can and I figured when I went into his office this morning that he would have endorsed that, but instead I get yelled at for what seems to me was because I asked too many questions.

Since being diagnosed with MS in 2015, I have seen 5 neurologists. With my previous 4 neurologists, I was always getting the run around about my diagnosis and symptoms and most of the time I left their offices feeling like a hypochondriac. They would often dismiss my symptoms and blame it on something else or make me feel like they weren't even listening at all and just try to rush me out the door as fast as possible. I felt like a number instead of a patient. My MS was worsening but I couldnt her any help and I was so discouraged from the care I had been recieving from my previous doctors. I was about to give up and just let my MS run its course naturally and hope for the best. Then my primary doctor referred me to Dr. Fadheel. From my first visit with Dr. Fadheel and every visit after, I left satisfied with my care and results. For the first since my diagnosis I didnt feel like a hypochondriac or a number. He doesnt rush in and try to push me out the door. He answers all of my… questions, addresses all of my concerns and he includes me in my treatment options. He takes the time to listen and explains everything in terms I can understand. He is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone suffering from a neurological disorder.

I suffer from chronic migraines; he helped me find relief. Most importantly, Dr. Fadheel is very caring and compassionate as well as knowledgeable. I felt blessed to be cared by him.

Only wants your money. If your insurance company doesn't pay 100%, the expects half of what you owe and threatens a collection agency and refuses to see you.

Don't really know what's going on I was sent a letter that states my drug Tecfidera which has not been FDA approved my insurance would have to pay for it well that's not happening I don't understand why I'm no longer getting this drug free Who can afford meds that cost$62000. A year not me I live on a fixed income what am I supposed to do? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have permanent progressive multiple sclerosis. I don't know what to do. I first met Dr Fadheel in the ER. He was good about diagnoseding MG, but when I went for follow up appt. he acted aggravated with me that his nurse had given wrong directions about a change in my prescription. He then asked what I wanted out of the appt. (who doesn’t want to back to normal?) He ended the appt by telling me if I don’t see you in the ER I’ll assume you’re ok. (Really?) They scheduled me for an appt 2 months later and after I called a couple times of me calling to update them how I was having issues I was told to take meds as directed and let him do what he knew how to do. I told them I understood he was frustrated with me, but I was frustrated with him also and his lack of empathy. So about 3 days later I get letter from him saying I was being dropped as a patient. I would’ve already replaced him if it wasn’t so hard to get in to see a Neurologist.

Dr Fadheel was very thorough and took time to explain what he was running test for. Follow up appt very satisfactory as well. He sent me to necessary follow up appt with another dr more suited to his findings.

Aggressive and enjoys speaking down to patients. Does not approve of you seeking second opinions.
