Dr. Cerabona is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has published in State-of-the-Art Spine Surgery, in which he contributed to several chapters on spinal biomechanics. He has written chapters in other textbooks on spinal instrumentation and surgical techniques. Dr. Cerabona has also presented at the North American Spine Society, the American Spinal Injury Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Cerabona completed a general surgery residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and an orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan. He subsequently completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Current Orthopedic Practice. I had a ruptured lumbar disc as well as some other disc problems and Dr. Cerabona was my surgeon. He is professional, caring, precise, detail oriented and an overall excellent surgeon. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition, did not rush into surgery, answered all questions that I had about the surgery and I knew exactly what the pros and cons were going into the procedure. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a spinal surgeon without any reservation. He's the best.

Dr Cerabona has to be one of the most caring, up to date doctors EVER! I have been through the mill with my spinal problems and he has helped me so much!He has been frank with my diagnosis, helpful before during and after surgery. He NEVER gives up! He has saved me from so much additional pain. He is just wonderful and I would never change this doctor.

I have been using Dr. Cerabona for over 11 years. He has done several fusion surgeries. He is knowledgeable, doesn't push for surgery, and uses all resources before surgery. Available to talk to when needed, good bedside manner.

Dr.Cerabona is one of the best surgeon ever. He operated on my back twice, with positive success. His bedside manor is terrific, professional, warm and caring! He is a true gentleman, a gentle man!

Dr. Cerabona is the best Ortho doctor I have ever found. Not only does he take the time to answer any of your questions he will also give you info on other options as well. All I can say is AWESOME,AWESOME....oh, did I forget to mention he is AWESOME!!!!Extremely magnificent bedside manner, he real does take the time to know his patients.HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cerabona.
