Dr. Gary Edward Borodic, MD

Gary briefly assessed my eye and did not explain much throughout the process. He provided a diagnosis but did not elaborate. I asked questions to understand next steps, recommendations, risks of x/y/z. He spent the remainder of the visit (25 minutes) sharing details of his personal life unrelated to my care. Certain comments struck me as odd. I wondered if he exhibited these same qualities with other patients and I do not feel as though he respected my person. At the end of the visit, he recommended a follow up but we had not established enough trust for me to feel comfortable with him treating my eye. Office staff are pleasant, professional. Wait time was minimum. Interaction with MD left much to be desired.

I got shingles in my ear which paralyzed my face along with many other issues.. it’s called Ramsay Hunt syndrome.. I was having trouble finding a doctor that takes my insurance but Dr Borodic told me to come in anyways so he can help me to at least see what’s going on and get everything in order, even though he wasn’t getting paid for it. A year and a half later, he still checks in and helps me to better understand my condition.. he is a very compassionate man and I am so thankful for all of his help.

Gary is unprofessional, and RUDE with his patients, other doctors, his staff members, and should not be allowed to practice medicine. He swears in front of his colleagues, patients, and is extremely inappropriate. I don't care how "good" of a doctor he seems to be, being a "good doctor" is someone who has RESPECT for their team members, other workers, and most importantly, PATIENTS.

This was my first visit with Dr. Borodic who was recommended to my by my ophthalmologist who I have the utmost trust in. Dr. Borodic was informed, professional, honest and engaging. Office staff was organized and professional. I was seen in a timely manner and while with Dr Borodic, he was present (not rushed) and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I will use Dr Borodic in the future and have no hesitation in recommending him. Mary M

I highly recommend Dr. Borodic. He has a great bedside mannor, and cares about the best interest of his patients. The office staff are proffesional, and very caring. Thank you Dr. Borodic for all that you have done for my eye.

I went to Dr. Borodic because of the rave reviews on this page, and boy was I mightily disappointed. Shocked even. Astonished. I have to assume the doctor is a fine and expert surgeon. But like a lot of talented surgeons, he has no bedside manner or pleasant demeanor or helpful attitude. I found none, anyway. The office staffer, on the phone, had decided I was a good candidate for the ophthalmologist despite my telling her that my problem was with my extreme sensitivity to new glasses: headaches and dizziness from a new pair of glasses, one with the same exact prescription as my old ones. As soon as Dr. Borodic heard my problem in person he told me I needed an expert optometrist. In manner he seemed irritated that I was taking up his valuable time. He did not listen to the details of my story carefully; he interrupted frequently as if he didn't have time to hear the case; his co-doctor had to remind him of my explanations. He was brusque throughout. His advice was perfectly… accurate: I do need an expert optometrist. But it was quite an unpleasant, alienating experience. Worst of all, after he put drops in my eyes, and examined them, he then sent me packing without offering protective sunglasses, or even asking me if I wanted them.This has never happened to me in 40 years of eye-exams! Since the day was very sunny, with snow on the ground, I ended up going back to ask an assistant for sunglasses. It was so sunny that even while wearing the very dark wrap-around shades it still was startlingly bright and glaring once I started walking home Overall, a very alienating experience. And, a waste of time and money, since I could've been told on the phone an expert optometrist was the way to go!
