Dr.Pleasants treats you with dignity and without judgement.Never be ashamed of asking for help if you have an addiction.It's a disease not a character flaw...I have never met a Practitioner with a genuine caring for addicts..One of a kind Doctor and we do share a birthday witch just makes him COOLER ??!

This doctor saved my life. Being put on suboxin saved me. I was previously on Methadone and had gained a huge amount of weight. I am now stable and running a productive life.

Dr. Pleasants is the most honest caring and upfront doctor in the area and am so pleased I found him over 5 years ago. He is not your standard get in/get out so he can get to the next pateient doctor. He even has answered the phone himself when I've called which is absolutely UNHEARD of!!!!! He doesn't believe in wait times and considers your tie as important as his!! God Bless Dr. Pleasants and America needs more doctors like him. He's special and I wish upcoming doctors could learn from him.

Dr. Pleasants has a recent sanction against him (within two years) for patient neglect. His examination rooms are dirty, understocked and smell strongly like urine. He does not listen, nor does he respond to patient's comments or questions. His profile states he has years of experience and specialization though his lack of response to basic questions make him appear ignorant. Dr. Pleasants' nurse spent more time looking at my records then he did. I waited 35-40 min tone seen though no one else was waiting. The office staff were busy talking about gossip rather than doing their job. If you care about your health, have more than a basic cold, etc. stay far away from this office. I can't believe he went to EVMS. He's a disgrace to the name of a good school.

Great visit with MD. Office staff is friendly and curteous. getting an appointment is difficult, and the message system is difficult t navigate.
