Dr. Gregory Richard White, MD

I saw Dr White from age ten to age fourteen, because I was having intense pain in my left knee. We did two seperate surgeries that did not help me at all. It was thought that I had a tumor, but once they cut my knee open there was no tumor. I was overtreated for an infection, though they could not grow anything from the culture. I spent later appointments with him insisting my knee was growing normally (it didn't, I walk with my foot sideways) and then talking about his garage band. Yes, his garage band. After four years he told me there was nothing he could do so I'd have to "just learn to live with it." No encouragement to see someone else. Just live with pain that made me suicidal. I finally recieved a diagnosis years later that I have a rare autoimmune disease called Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomylitis. A team of doctors who were willing to talk to others and read through textbooks to find an answer figured it out. I suffered because of his belief that he was the best and if… he couldn't figure it out, no one could. No other child should live through that.

I had spinal fusion for my scoliosis and everything went PERFECT! I have been seeing him since about the age of 12 and saw him twice a year for observation on my back. He became family! I had my surgery at the age of 17 and SOO glad I had it, a fantastic surgeon and Phoenix Children's is an amazing hospital. I recommend him to anyone!

He's an expert at what he does

Was seeing my daughter from the age of 3. Did her surgery at the age of 15. He tried to correct her curves and did a good job although she still has small curves in her upper and lower back. She still has pain and issues with her back.
