Dr. Gregory T. Carter

Dr.Carter is an amazing guy! I felt genuinely cared for, and his knowledge and experience were phenomenal.

It is not easy to get in to see this man but that was the only negative thing I have to say. He is remarkably thorough and spent more time with me than any other doctor I have seen. I now feel like I have the correct diagnosis and am on a more appropriate treatment plan. That alone is worth the visit. To get an appointment you must be persistent though as his front office apparently screens referrals.

It is not easy to find any doctor if you are on Medicare or Medicaid. However, I am disabled from a muscle disease and I can not work. Dr. Carter still takes Medicare, thank God, and he was very willing to spend as much time with me as needed. Thanks his efforts and the efforts of his nurse Phyllis, I finally got a good power wheelchair and some medication for my chronic pain. Dr. Carter also is willing to sign authorizations for medical marijuana and that has helped me more than I would have ever thought. Overall excellent doctor and excellent clinic.

It took some effort to get an appointment with this doctor but it was worth it. He spent a lot of time with me, was very patient and thorough. He also made the right diagnosis and now I am finally getting some much needed help and treatment. I am now getting better. I would highly recommend Dr. Carter. You will need a referral from your primary doctor to see him though and he is backlogged several months but it is worth the wait.

Dr. Carter really shows his patients that he is interested in helping them lead independant lives. My son has CMT, a neuropathy, that causes him motor delays and pain. Finding pain control in a 5 year old is near impossible, yet Dr. Carter is open minded to consider every possiblity. He knows so much about neuromuscular conditions it is very reassuring as a mother to have my son in his care.

I have never before had a doctor who is not only a leader in the field of neuromuscular diseases, but he cares so much about his patients. I believe that he shows the same kind of compassion and genuine interest with all of his patients, as he does with me. What would his CMT patients do without him?

I had seen several doctors before I saw Dr. Carter. He was the only one that knew anything about my disease (Charcot Marie Tooth) and he was able to help me greatly.
