Dr. Howard Joel Goodman, MD

Dr. Goodman treated my husband for a large, aggressive tumor on the tibia. The doctor was as clear as anyone could wish in his explanation of the condition and of the suggested treatment. He showed us images of what needed to be done, and afterwards showed us exactly what had been done. He gave us referrals for additional treatments going forward. Throughout the process, Dr. Goodman was kind, reassuring and professional. This is a hard time for my husband and me. Skill matters, and Dr. Goodman performed the surgery with great skill. But demeanor matters also. The demeanor of this doctor was unimpeachable. I recommend Dr. Goodman highly and am grateful that he took care of my husband.

Dr. Goodman is a doctor I was referred to due to an incident I had with my knee. He clearly explained to me what it was, what was the next steps and surgery would be done. When surgery day came, Dr. Goodman and the staff at Lenox Hill made me feel comfortable before, during and after surgery. I would refer him to anyone. Great doctor, explains everything, and my scar looks non existent and I had surgery 3 weeks ago. Glad I was put in good hands.

I cannot even begin to express how thankful we are to Dr Goodman. After my 11yr old son received a very scary diagnosis, we were referred to Dr Goodman by our orthopedic dr. As any parent would wonder- is he the best, maybe there is someone better, maybe i should find someone who may be better, let me tell you, THERE IS NO BETTER DOCTOR then Dr Goodman. After our very first visit, from our first impression of him, to his bedside manner and his knowledge with what we are dealing with, my motherly instinct told me he is the best Dr to care for my child. As surgery day comes and I was a nervous mess, he made this morning so much easier. He explained every step by step from what to expect during surgery to recovery afterwards. My son is healing wonderfully and our diagnosis is now far behind us in the past. If anyone has any doubts especially when it comes to your child, do not hesitate and see Dr Goodman.

Dr. Goodman is very patient, kind and a good sense of humor. As a nervous parent of a child having a difficult condition he takes his time and tries to address all of our concerns. Shows compassion.

Dr Goodman is a caring physician, an excellent surgeon and an all around nice guy. I worked with doctors in a hospital setting for 20 years so I tend to be quite critical. I am thankful that my path crossed with Dr Goodman’s. Do not give it a moments hesitation. This doctor is the real thing. Patient, compassionate, never has you waiting to see him, NEVER. Spends as much time as you need with him.

Dr Goodman has very bad bedside manner. Not sensitive to patient at all. Will not recommend him to anyone!

Had anterior hip replacement and the results were excellent. In addition, Dr. goodman is always prompt with his appointments and available for phone consultation.
