Dr. Jonathan Sebastian Cordova, DO

After seeing a handful of negligent doctors, I started to feel hopeless in my treatment. Finally we decided to switch gastroenterologists and start seeing cordova. I can’t express enough that he has literally changed my whole output for treatment and even mental prospective on my illness. Within the first visit I felt like I was in great hands, he immediately looked for any ideas on how to get me to start feeling well again. He’s very resourceful in his treatment plans, he’s amazing with listening to my concerns and issues, and extremely attentive to my care. Within the second visit he had at least 4 treatment options to help my symptoms. He seems very knowledgeable and comfortable with being able to say he just doesn’t know why some things are happening when they do (a bad doctor can’t admit they don’t know what’s going on when medicine fails to explain, I have found). His response time is great, and communication is good as well. He describes things very well. I highly recommend… seeing him, not only is he very personable and kind but he is also spectacular in what he does. Within just 3 months of seeing him I’m doing 70% better than before cordova (which is amazing considering my condition and where I was at before seeing him). He has given me the hope I was in need of, infact even more than necessary. I love him!

Dr. Cordova seemed nice the first visit but I was a little skeptical because he was easy to get into. He is non-responsive and when he does respond, its only via North Shore Connect. I have asked for a phone call twice in a week and he will only respond to me online. I am VERY concerned about my son and all I want is a call and he won't give me the courtesy or respect of a call and 5 minutes of his precious time. And since he has tons of openings, I can't believe he is that busy. My wonderful, beloved pediatrician called me back in 2 hours and thought that was a long time (which I did not) and she gave me the time and advice I needed to get through these issues with my son. I also feel that Dr. Cordova missed running some imaging for my son. Disappointed in his care and responsiveness is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! Lastly, I am not one of those moms that switches doctors or complains, but after a week of begging for Cordova to call me back, I am switching to a different GI who is much… better respected and liked. Thanks for nothing Dr. Cordova.
