If you’re pregnant, I strongly recommend avoiding this office. I ignored the warning reviews and thought I could tolerate a few visits until I found something better (I only went there because my PPO failed to find another doctor). I regret it. The stress and disorganization here felt constant, and during pregnancy, that’s just bad for you and your baby. SCHEDULING ISSUES. My first appointment was somehow scheduled for the wrong YEAR. I called ahead to confirm the date, and they still confirmed it. When I arrived, I was told to come back the next day because they screwed it up. When I did, there were multiple patients (at least 6) booked for the same time, all waiting. VAGINAL BLEEDING: dismissed, delayed, and left to handle it alone.?I had heavy vaginal bleeding and called terrified. The doctor had clearly told me to call if there’s any bleeding. I begged the front desk to check with the doctor and squeeze me in for a quick ultrasound. They kept repeating that the next appointment… is in 1.5 months and told me to go to urgent care, even though urgent cares don’t have ultrasounds.?They said they would “ask the doctor,” and got the same recommendation. I had to go elsewhere on my own (which was very problematic without doctor’s referral or spending thousands of $$ in the ER) just to confirm that it wasn’t a miscarriage. They dismissed any of my symptoms at my next visit. BILLING: constant pressure (every visit).?Every visit turned into a billing fight. The front desk repeatedly pushed me to pre-pay a copay even though my insurance clearly states no copay for routine prenatal visits. I had to call insurance in front of them and read the benefits/EOB together every time to stop them from charging me. After repeatedly having to “prove” what my insurance clearly says, I still don’t trust that visits were billed with the correct CPT codes. At my last appointment, the front refused to schedule me and gave me a triumphant look. WRONG LABS: confusion and poor communication.?The doctor ordered bloodwork and NIPT (abnormalities + gender). I was sent to the lab with paperwork, then told I couldn’t do the NIPT without a special kit from the doctor (which I was never given). I spent hours calling and going to different lab locations and the lab main office getting conflicting answers. Later I was told the NIPT wasn’t done, even though the office gave me paperwork for it and told me to do it. Then I learned the office paperwork was incomplete/incorrect and I had to redo tests, wasting two full days and delaying recommended timing for another 3 weeks. Am I the first pregnant woman? I was also told they couldn’t share basic lab information over email and that I had to come in again to pick up copies. Ah, and I was placed on hold while trying to sort out this lab mess, and the person left for the day while I was still on hold for another hour. No callback, nothing. TIME WASTED.?All of this cost me multiple full days of work. I’m self-employed, so when I lose a day to clinic chaos, it isn’t “an inconvenience” - it’s lost income and missed deadlines. $300 in wrong co-pays is real money. Idk what people with 9-5 do, to be honest. Pregnancy care is time-sensitive; this office made me do unpaid administrative labor just to receive basic care. The “billing guy” is never at the office, btw, never answers the phone/returns calls, so there is no way to resolve any issues. IRRESPONSIBLE.?I can forgive the weird big Pharma jokes and MLM vitamin scheme from the OB/Gyn himself; the doctor might be even okay clinically (which I do not even know for sure), but surrounding yourself with dismissive front-desk staff, unreachable billing, and broken processes is a reflection of doctor’s professionalism - these are the people you'd be communicating with 98% of the time. The system here made my pregnancy care stressful and unreliable. I’m leaving this review so that another pregnant patient deserves better. PLEASE PLEASE choose a different OB/GYN practice

Dr Tam has delivered all 5 of my children. My oldest is now 21. Youngest is almost 3. I cannot thank Dr. Tam enough for saving my life, and my daughter's life. Who is now 19. I had a pulmonary embolism at 7 months during my 2nd pregnancy, and if it weren't for Dr.Tam we would not be here today. He has always done an Amazing job and has always made me feel comfortable knowing I was under his care. I recommend him to everyone.

VERY CARING, GREAT DOCTOR

Dr Tam delivered my 2 kids. I couldn't thank him enough for providing the best care that any OB doc would. He only answer questions, so if you expect him to elaborate the situation, you probably are going to be disappointed. But if you ask him any of ur concern, he will attend to it and make sure you get your answer. His office is most of the time full of patients, but which OB office is not. You might need to wait before seen. But it's worth it. I drive an hour to see him on each of my visit. His office is very organized,they will arrange ur appointments and let you know what needs to be done when. I heard that some OB offices don't even tell their patients what;s next. They missed their ultrasound, sugar test, etc, just because the nurse did not inform the patient. I really wouldn't remember what to be done at what week. He does sell the vitamins at higher price, but he definitely is NOT forcing you to purchase from him. You can buy elsewhere.

I first met Dr. Tam in 2005 when I was pregnant with my first child. He shown and proven to be very knowledgeable and extremely aware of what the unborn childs conditon was. He was short and to the point. I appreciate his advice and caring ways that he instructed me to deliver a healthy baby. I appreciated him so much that I (like many others) was a repeater in which again he aided me in the care and delivery of my 2nd child. Dr. Tam is truly amazing - God's work with him (Dr. Tam) was wellll done.

Since the day I met Dr. Jonathan Tam, at my hospital bed 20 years ago., I was blessed. He is the most Amazing, & Caring Doctor I have ever known. 20 Years have passed quickly, and giving birth to five children was the most beautiful experience, though they were all high risk pregnancies, and four premature births are the greatest proof that miracles exist, when we have a good doctor to care for us. Not only is Dr. Tam devoted to his profession, I know he cares of me, and every other patient that comes through his office. He takes the time to talk about the situations, and he finds the way to make me feel comfortable. After five children, I still continue to seek his expertise in any given situation, as a female every six months having to be seen, and tested for my health sake. I can only trust his opinion, because he is simply the best. Thank you Dr. Tam for committing your life to give life, and to save lives. for caring about my health, and for your continuous support, and… care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tam for about 7yrs and he's great! He has delivered several of my grandchildren as well.I am now about to have a hysterectomy,and would'nt trust any one else to perfom my proceedure.Thank You Dr. Tam!!!
