Dr. Jonathan Waltuck, MD

I’d definitely not be here today without Dr. Waltuck. He’s been helping me for many years. I’m truly grateful.

I came to Dr. Waltuck with chronic joint pain and after 3 months got no treatment plan or improvement in my condition even after paying for labs and an extended visit. Because he told me "people come see me for far worse problems than yours", I felt like I was being a nuisance to him. I didn't get a call with my lab results (apparently they were sent via regular mail to an old address). I called his nurse after 3 months of no communication, but she was more of a "message giver and receiver" back to the Dr. Perhaps if you've got something very serious, this Doctor will be happy to see you, but if you've got something that's difficult to pin down and chronic I'd go elsewhere because for me he was non-communicative and clinically irrelevant.

I called to make an appointment and was disappointed that Dr. Waltuck is not taking any new appointments.

Wait time is similar to other specialists. This was several years ago but I had to wait 4 months for an appointment. I did not have any deformity in my knuckles when I called for the appointment, but I did at the appointment with the Doctor.

The doctor's staff is very good, not much can be said for the folks out front though! I have been seeing him since he started at Emory Clinic and I would not trade out for anyone else. Good times and bad times, he has been there for me. I have a lot of admiration for him and the difference he wants to make in our lives!

Outstanding doctor that treats the whole person. He reminds me of House (the show) in his approach to getting to the root of the problem but with a much better bedside manner. I would recommend anyone with Acute Arthritis to see him.

Dr. Waltuck has been my doctor for over 5 years. His care is superior in all categories, and his bedside manner is second to none.

I started seeing Dr Waltuck several years ago once the Rheumatoid diagnosis was made due to Sarcodosis. He is the greatest, because he really does care. He helped me understand steroids and stayed firm with decreasing no matter how I cried, and called because it was best for me. Thank you Dr. Waltuck for all you do.

Dr. Waltuck is an intelligent academic physician. His bedside manner is excellent and he's quite likable as a person. He won't treat unnecessarily, but on the other hand, is not one who aggressively manages rheumatologic disorders, either. My family member had significant evidence on MRI of longstanding rheumatoid arthritis, supporting lab work, and associated pain, and Dr. Waltuck didn't want to treat with ANYTHING. The patient couldn't walk due to the pain, it was so severe. As such, as likeable as he is, our family will be looking elsewhere for management of this family member's RA.
