Dr. Jose Tibayan Aranez, MD

I have read all the reviews and they are mostly positive. I am a new patient and I’ve only seen him three times. However, I called twice and he has not returned a phone call and I’m not happy about that at all. I do need a doctor calls me back when I have a problem.

My wife took my daughter to his office. This is documentation of the incident. Arrived on time and were greeted with new patient paperwork. I (patients mom) filled out all paperwork and provided insurance card and photo i.d. Next, my daughter (minor) and I were taken into a patient room. Dr.Aranez came in and made the comment "M----z? That's a mexican last name, you don't even look it good job mom" then Dr.Aranez said "I would've guessed Armenian cause of your height and skin tone" he then asked my daughter if her periods were normal and she replied "no I have an IUD so I'm not sure exactly" so he (Dr. Aranez) said "so they're normal" and wrote it down on my daughter's chart. He then handed my daughter a paper lap cover and told her to "Get naked from the waist down." and left the room. My daughter undressed from the waist down and sat on the exam table. Dr.Aranez came back into the room without knocking or asking if she was ready. He came in told my daughter to "Lay down lift your… shirt, lift your bra." then Dr Aranez proceeded to press on her breasts and pinch her nipple on each breast. Never explaining to my daughter what he was doing or why. Dr. Aranez then sat at the end of the bed and told my daughter to "Scoot your butt down, come towards me." then Dr Aranez proceeded to do a pelvic exam without any verbal explanation of what he was doing or why he was doing it. Dr Aranez dismissed everything my daughter and I were trying to explain to him regarding her symptoms and constant pain. Dr. Aranez stated "I can only treat my speciality and so I will clear your uterus and ovaries then send you to another Dr." My daughter and I tried several times to tell him what she was experiencing and he just interrupted us and dismissed what we were saying. I feel that his bedside manner and lack of concern and had racial comments to my daughter and her symptoms was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of his patient. I had to calm my daughter down from crying when we left his office. She felt violated and talked down racially to, because she's half mexican. We are currently seeking another doctor!!!

Aranez didn't listen to my concerns or review my history. He automatically assumed I was going through menopause and prescribed medication that made me bleed more. I ended up going to another Doctor who checked the medicine that Aranez prescribed and told me this medicine increases the chance of getting cancer. He's arrogant, pretends to know what he's talking about, and doesn't bother interviewing the patient. Stay away from this Doctor because he will cause you more health problems and possible injury!

Very good doctor, isn't quick to open you up when he finds something wrong. Looks for alternative methods. Great bedside manner, I have referred him to my sister in law, who has down syndrome, he was very patient with her and walked her through getting a well women exam.

Worst ever!!

My advice to anyone is to run out of this office. My experience with Dr. Aranez was awful. He performed laparascopic surgey on me removing my left ovary. I came out of recovery and he gave me a medication to which I was severely allergic (clearly stated in my chart). Then he misdiagnosed an infection I got as a result of the surgery. I suffered at this man's hands.

I was referred to Dr. Aranez by my primary care physician and from the first time I saw him he put me at ease. He doesn't rush through your appointment and takes his time to explain to you what is going on. He made me feel comfortable I knew right away I was in good hands. His office staff is very friendly and the wait time if minimal. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone looking for a knowledgable OB-Gyn.

He is caring about my overall health and specifically my lady parts. He has a time to explain how he can treat my issues and gives excellant knowledgeable answers to my questions. I am comfortable in discussing any medical problems with him and I have complete trust that he always gives me his best solutions. I would highly recommend this terrific doctor!! His staff is also very professional and friendly and very easy to work with.

Dr. Aranez, made my visit so pleasant and in fact the most fun experience with a doctor I have ever had. I would recommend him to anyone going through some of the hard issues women go through. He is so supportive and his staff are all sweet and pleasant. You won't leave his office feeling bad.
