The exam was rushed, I thought. Nothing special. I was then informed by Dr. Garcia that I needed three expensive tests/x-rays/MRI etc., which I had--more or less--anticipated at some point, but he indicated that they were required before he could proceed. However, I was told that I MUST have these done at Glens Falls Hospital pursuant to 'some' agreement between his practice the GF Hospital. Later, the Post-Star published an article that Glens Falls Hospital was 30 million dollars in debt! Even though I had anticipated some tests the hospital continued to call me to insist that I had an appointment and that it hadn't been cancelled! Although I asked if I could have the test done elsewhere, the verdict was adamant: Glens Falls Hospital (may they not need the income?!). The office was rather non-descript and cheap poster advertisements of expensive plastic surgery procedures adorned the waiting room walls, as well as a stand of 'recommended' skin enhancing products for… sale. Also, after I had paid for the short visit via an adequate medical ins. policy--not more than 15 minutes--I received a bill from Dr. Garcia's office indicating that I owed more than $100! My insurance indicated that my co-pay would only be $35--reasonable. I decided not to pursue this issue and paid the amount but immediately scheduled an appointment with a Clifton Park Orthopedic doctor who: gave me a cortisone shot, which was immediately effective and relieved swelling and pain; specially and professionally described my malady; said only x-rays would be needed at this point (completed on site and within ten minutes); and scheduled an appointment for me in six weeks as well as providing (covered by my medical insurance) a wrist brace that has worked wonders during the past four weeks. You judge.

I have a big problem with this practice. They advertise free consultations; but, when I went for an appt, they told me there was $100. consultation fee. That’s false advertising and is illegal; and my consultation lasted all of 5 minutes. Second, they were way too aggressive with their microneedling. A week later and i’m still bright red and peeling. I had zero down time when I had it done elsewhere. Third, everyone had this fake gratuitous smile. No one was unpleasant; but, they weren’t exactly pleasant either. Spend your money elsewhere.

They went back on their word, saying anything to get my business with now regard for my preferences.
