Dr. Reginald Maurice Davis JR., MD

I use him as my primary care doctor while we are in Savannah each year (I wished he worked at a primary care office). I call in ahead to make sure I see him. I’m pretty healthy so don’t have much use for a regular doctor except I have this supplemental health policy that I need to get a physical each year. I have dr. Davis do the female stuff. He takes his time and explains everything to my husband and I. My female gyn is rough and barely touches me. I realize she sees some bad cases and I’m generally healthy. However, I like the old-fashioned style of Dr. Davis which makes me feel comfortable.

He may mean well, but can not deliver for complex cases. Either will not or can not diganose complicated cases. Extensively relies on diagnosticians. Has no insight. Poor follow-up skills -- lets patients linger and ignores them for 12 + months if there are post-surgical problems. Don't be fooled by the charm and the professional presentation and reputation (reputation is all talk; wellness statistics are what matters). Should you have a problem that he can't deal with (that stems from his hands, in fact), he does major CYA-deflecting-misleading write-ups in your record to deflect from his own skill set deficiencies. Those notes will setup roadblocks in your attempt to secure further care from other providers, so be sure to check what has been written about you. Bottom line: do not use this doctor. He's what you do *not* need to get better. He just another medical businessman lining his pockets at your insurance company's expense.
