Dr. Rena Ahuja, MD

Dr. Ahuja is a fantastic doctor. She spends a lot of time with you to understand your specific needs. She always made herself available to me and my family when an urgent need arose. She is respectful and conscientious. She is by far the best GP I've ever had.

I just want others to know so that they can make an informed choice. The main problem I had is that the doctor wants an appointment when one is not needed. I have been on bp meds for ages and I have never had a doctor not write refills for at least 3 months. This doctor (I work and travel quite a bit) makes me come in too often and will actually deny the prescription refill when the pharmacy calls. t believe this to be dangerous--I have had to go at least a week or more with no meds. I am not sure why she does this; she is very caring in other ways. It makes me wonder if finances (charging for the appointments supersedes the care of the patient at times. I actually received a discharge letter; it stated that I was an inactive patient with their practice. I do not believe this was the real reason for the discharge. I did email to tell the doc that I was very concerned about missing medication. I also told her I was happy to come in for refill appointments. Just be wary.

She never touched me, never engaged me, sat and looked at her computer and had me come in for every little thing which she over charges for. And on top of that she's not integrative. She'll run specialty labs for patients who want them but thats it. And she thinks she knows more than she does about things. Not going back there.

Dr. Rena Ahuja is the best doctor I have ever been to! She gives you as much time as you need. She is smart, kind and nice. Her office staff is nice, quick appts., no waiting in the waiting room and organized. Great bedside manner. Spends time explaining anything. She remembers everything about you she cares that much about her patients! You will feel comfortable enough asking her any questions. She is so helpful, professional and takes the time to know you! She knows how to cure anything and calls you to see if you are ok. I recommend her to anyone!
