Dr. Stephen Donald Raborn, MD

This physician cancels appointment 10 minutes before scheduled time (you learn that you will be rescheduled when you arrive at the office) because of emergency. This happened to me twice. Instead of apologising his patients, he prefers discharging his patients from care if he/she is upset about this behavior.

Dr. Rayborn and his staff are wonderful. His NP-BC Ms. Bennett and Andrea are wonderful. They listen to your problems and needs and go to great lengths to help. Pat and the whole staff make you feel wanted and welcome. We moved here 9 years ago and had trouble finding a primary doctor than we were comfortable with. We have found that in him and Ms. Bennett. I pray Ms. Bennett stays with him for ever. Andrea is a ray of Sunshine and Johnny on the spot. They All, always welcome you with a smile. I couldn't ask for better care than we get from Dr. Rayborn, Ms. Pat, Dr. Bennett and ?Andrea. The front staff is As awesome. We never wait more than 30 minutes. Ck out is awesome. Lab awesome as well. They are all caring Christain people. And will pray with you. Thank You Dr. Rayborn for you and your totally awesome staff.??????

I would have given a 5 star rating, but the lady who checks you in/takes your co-pay, in my opinion, is in the wrong profession. She is very dismissive. The other ladies at the front desk, the nurses and P.A. are great. Dr. Raborn spends time with me and answers all my questions. All in all, a very good practice.

Professional, courteous and thorough. So thankful he is my doctor!

Inconsistent and unpredictable. First visit, very personable and attentive. Had blood drawn for various tests. Second visit (2 weeks later), distracted and preoccupied with "the business of medicine" (his words, not mine). He had not ordered some of the blood tests that he said would be discussed in this follow up visit. Third visit (2 months later), impatient and exasperated. No follow up with a specialist he had referred me to; he had none of the records or x-rays that had been done a month ago. He did order all of the blood tests that he said he would order on the first visit, but I had to have blood drawn again. Almost three months after my initial visit, and (between the specialist and Dr. Raborn's office) at least $700 out-of-MY-pocket later, I have no answers that I didn't already know, other than what the x-rays showed, which was nothing that could explain pain, swelling, and limited range of motion. I guess a picture still speaks a thousand expensive meaningless words.

I went in and the dr said nothing was wroing with me and tried to give me a prescription for antidepressants. He did not really check me out thouroughly. I was never depressed so threw that away. Too many drs do this and do not care about a patients health. They could kill someone. I was lucky. I had to find another dr. This dr took their time 3 months but did find out something was wrong and I had surgery. . Also one labwork test came in and the nurse told me I did not have something and it was negative so I did not worry about it. A month goes by and I bring my labwork to another dr and he told me they read the results wrong and I do indeed have a disease. I looked into this myself and they did in fact make a mistake. I called and asked to speak to the Dr and he did not ever call back. That is very negligent and he is lucky he has not been sued. So if I would have listened to this doctor then I would have been on antidepressants for no reason, not had surgery that was needed,… medication that was needed and could have passed a disease onto someone else which I probably did.

It only took one visit to know that we had found the right doctor for my teenager. Dr. Raborn is easy to talk to and kind spirited, both qualities my daughter needed.
