Dr. Steven Joseph Mcanany, MD

I saw Dr. McAnany for cervical spine issues, and he did fusion surgery for me this past spring. He was clear about what could be done, and willing to answer all questions. He did a wonderful job, and I am back playing tennis. Quite simply, a brilliant doctor.

I have suffered for years with back pain and pain in my right leg. Injections and physical therapy helped initially, however over the past year they stopped working. Dr McAnany after seeing me and reviewing my imaging was was very honest in telling me he thought surgery would improve my leg pain and my back pain may or may not improve. After surgery I’m happy to report that my leg pain is completely gone and back pain is significantly improved. I appreciate Dr McAnany taking the time to explain everything to me and his honesty with the possible outcomes. He really went above and beyond!

Dr. McAnany game me my life back, my only regret is not seeing him sooner. For years I was unable to walk for greater than 5 minutes due to excruciating leg pain. After my low back surgery, I have been up walking without pain for the first time in years. I cannot say enough about him and his staff. Thank you!

My primary insisted I see him for my low back. The staff was nice, but was very disappointed with the doctor. He didn't even ask me about my concerns, he looked at my MRI and immediately said I need a fusion surgery, and lost interest as soon as I asked about other options or less invasive surgery. Expected much better from him and hss.

I only have great things to say about Dr. McAnany and his team of professionals! They make you feel welcomed which is much appreciated in such a stressful, scary situation. I now live my life pain free and the journey to get there was as pleasant as it could possibly be.

While I felt that the ease of not waiting long in the waiting room, the doctor along with his Physician Assistant seemed inexperienced! I assumed that although he only has five years experience, his training would be current! I’ve decided to seek out someone more experienced on orthopedics! My desire to push through pain and improve my back was overshadowed as this doctor does not have the experience to get me back on my game of life!!
