Dr. Sumeet Bhanot, MD

My dermatologist had looked at a small cyst on my scalp before and said it is nothing to worry about and if I wanted it removed to see a plastic surgeon. I went to Dr. Bhanot to get a consultation on how much it would be to remove it. He looked at it and told me he thinks it looks like skin cancer and he could remove it in 2 weeks. He spent a total of 5 minutes with me. I scheduled another appt with a different dermatologist to get another opinion. This dermatologist confirmed what the first dermatologist told me and said it is not skin cancer; it is a pilar cyst and she could remove right there and send it to pathology to confirm. She removed it and it came back benign. Dr. Bhanot was incorrect in his diagnosis and wanted me to wait 2 weeks to remove something that literally required one stitch and took minutes. To top it off, he billed me $197 for his 5 minutes of wrong information. Not impressed at all.

I had to have surgery to reconstruct my nose after having a skin cancer removed. Dr. Bhanot recommended additional surgery to try to reduce the scar on my forehead (he had grafted skin from my forehead to my nose). While the forehead scar was not that objectionable, I thought I would consider this surgery to improve the appearance. My insurance would not cover 100% of the cost of the procedure and I requested an estimate. I was quoted that this procedure would be $650-$850; months after the surgery I received a bill for an additional $440, very disappointed as part of my decision for what amounted to cosmetic surgery was the cost of the procedure. When I inquired, the office informed me that the doctor had to additional work and therefore a higher bill..... Dr. Bhanot has practiced (I think) for 20 years and I am not the first patient to have this procedure, was quite shocked that the bill was 50% higher than the estimate, be careful if you are quoted a cost estimate from this… office.

Smart, talented, great bedside manner

Dr. Bhanot is a very talented doctor with an excellent way of treating people with respect combined with making one feel comfortable. I'm absolutely over the moon with my results after having a forehead flap procedure!

Dr Bhnot performed facial reconstructive facial surgery following MOHS surgery where I lost the upper half of my nose. This surgery consisted of a forehead flap reconstruction. I found Dr Bhnot a compassionate doctor and an excellent surgeon. I was told by my dermatologist that my surgery result was one of the best he has seen. I would highly recommend Dr Bhnot for any plastic facial surgery.

Dr. Bhanot has been my physician for several years, and he is a talented, caring and thorough professional. He has performed several procedures which have given me a much more youthful appearance. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Bhanot listens to what you say and does the most beautiful job. He is an artist. I am so happy and feel blessed to have had him do my face lift.
