Dr. Suzan Khoromi, MD

Dr. Khoromi has and continues to provide effective relief to daily, intolerable migraine and neuralgic head pain my fiance has from multiple traumatic brain injuries. My fiance and I have driven thousands of miles (literally) around California to many doctors for treatment of her TBI - and Dr. Khoromi's care has been some of the most effective! She is very busy and can be brief, but don't mistake this for her not caring! We are both very happy with her and continue to regularly see her for treatment. Furthermore, there are ways Dr. Khoromi goes above and beyond. She ALWAYS responds to my communication in a timely manner, and she has helped my fiance with a serious life issue related to my fiance's condition. Dr. Khoromi cares and deserves recognition!

Wonderful doctor, solved a big mystery for me!

She is extremely fast in deciphering a problem and effective in achieving excellent results. Her diagnosis on a follow- up where she was concerned about my husband shortness of breath resulted in spending 1/2 day at the GWH. There the tests were undergone thoroughly and even though they were negative it showed that Dr. Khoromi not only checks thoroughly her diagnosis but is caring . about her patient as is her staff.

I was plagued by migraine headaches for years. After a thorough exam Dr. Khoromi prescribed prophylactic medications. Within days my headaches were gone. My quality of life and general efficiency have greatly improved. I highly recommend Dr. Khoromi.

I went to see Doctor Khoromi after seeing a long list of doctors for a condition that no other doctor had an answer for. She was thorough and empathetic, she prescribed a medication for me which got rid of the pain. I am very thankful and highly recommend her.

I saw Dr. Khoromi after seeing 8 different doctors (of different specializations in the process of "discarding" possible causes) for continuous lightheadedness, periodic sharp pains on the left side of my head and other . By the time I saw her I was ver anxious about the uncertainty I had experienced for 6 weeks and the lack of feedback from some of the doctors--not to mention the bad experiences with some of their staff. Dr. Khorami did a thorough exam, asked several pertinent questions, was caring and sensitive and gave me a proper diagnosis. She prescribed a single medicine that resolved all my issues. While it took six weeks before I was able to see her, I am glad that I saw her at the end of a long line of doctors as I felt reassured and greatly relieved. My experience with Dr. Khorami was excellent and I highly recommend her.

I've seen Dr. Khoromi twice for migraines.+ She immediately ascertained something that 4 prior neurologists and 4 internists had failed to realize over the last six years. All had told me I had exhausted all of the migraine preventative drugs, and that my last alternative was to try botox, which I'd been fighting for insurance approval for for months. Based on an interview of a few minutes, Khoromi immediately saw that there were *two* basic and longstanding classes of preventative drugs I had *never* tried. That explains why my insurance was denying. I was dumbfounded that no docs had offered them before, or noted this insurance protocol. Perhaps previous docs thought these drugs were contraindicated to other conditions, or that their side effect profiles were too great. But now that I'm using one of them, I'm doing much much better. + Therefore, Dr. Khoromi is either very sharp, or very by-the-book. I'm not sure which yet. - Oddly, she isn't very attentive to detail, and… often forgets, fails to read, or fails to note important things, like the other medications I'm taking. I've had to remind her several times of what her treatment plan for me was (adding or removing other medications), and then grill her on how exactly I'm to execute it. Otherwise I was left with fuzzy descriptions like "gradually stop taking X".- I didn't find her very willing to explain anything. Even with repeated questioning, she gave the briefest answers possible, wasting not more than a few words.- She couldn't be interested in discussing any of my other neurological symptoms aside from headaches.- My overall impression is that she's talented but erratic. Gusty. Breezy.- Her bedside manner ranges from cruel to warm. The first time I saw her I thought she was a truly nasty person - I have never been so rudely treated by a physician. I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude. Then she gave me a little arm-squeeze-hug at the end of the visit. It was a bizarre interaction. However, because she made a great and previously overlooked evaluation about my treatment in that first visit, I thought I'd give her another try. On the second visit she was cheerful and warm. Maybe she respects being checked, or maybe I first caught her on a bad day. I don't think she's evil anymore, but nasty is definitely in her range.- Follow up from the doctor and her office staff is not great. I tried calling for about 2 weeks to clarify dosage instructions.-Wait for scheduling new patients is over 3 months.- Even existing patients have to wait months for appointments.

I have been a patient of Dr Khoromi's for a couple of years and have only wonderful things to say about her as a Neurologist! After seeing many Neurologists, I desperately needed relief from my migraines and in search of better health and answers to my many questions. I finally found Dr Khoromi! She listened to me, monitored my health, asked all the right questions and guided me in the right direction. Through her expertise and medical advice, she has enabled me to feel better and gain control over my health. She is an amazing Dr and a true credit to her profession. I HIGHLY recommend her as a Neurologist!
