Dr. Slattery ruined my life . I felt like the House clinic only cared that I had good insurance. In fact, I feel that way about the entire staff. When you make an appt. and I strongly suggest you don't, plan to spend the entire day there. They over book and leave you waiting for hours. First in the waiting area, then in a dirty, disguising exam room. The office is also run down and dirty. Everything looks like it is from the 70's. The carpet in the waiting room is disgusting and there are probably about 100 chairs in there. It feels and looks like a California DMV office. After a 10 hour brain surgery I had every complication imaginable and they basically left me in ICU for a week with no PT which I required. Additionally, when I went to my follow up appts. they continued to tell me that I just had to wait it out to see if I every got my hearing back, facial movement, eye function and balance back. When I finally asked for my surgical reports I discovered that they knew they had… damaged my facial nerve 1/2 during the surgery and they new I would not. I eventually had to have a second surgery at a different facility to try to correct some of the damage. I am not sure if it will work because I am not healed yet completely. Do yourself a favor and find another facility and DR!

Dr Slattery did brain surgery on me in Dec 13, 2018. He left a 1 inch marble sized mass behind. Best case scenario, he accidentaly forgot to remove 1/3 of an operable tumor: other options are, he left it in intentionally so he could get another surgery out of me, or worst case, he left surgical supplies inside of my skull! Dr. Slattery and the House clinic are now actively trying to prevent me from getting a second opinion by refusing to release my medical records: can you say conciousness of guilt? To add to all of that, Dr.Slattery, and the entire House clinic staff are just the rudest, least caring staff I have ever dealt with. Resident doctors have given me flat out wrong medical advice just because they didn't want to listen to my question. Dr. Slattery has left me hanging, refusing to tell me what he thinks is left in my head; he gave me two months, but won't say happens in two months! So, if you like being treated like nothing more than a carcass stuffed with cash… (because, believe me, you'll pay for everything including the second surgery to fix the first), if you like being left out of your medical care decisions, if you like being left in the dark by your doctor about your medical condition, heck, just if you love having completely unnecessary brain surgeries for the fun of it, then The House Clinic and Dr. Slattery are your people. Otherwise, if you'd like even the slightest bit of safe and appropriate medical treatment, run away!

He is one of the worlds authorities on acoustic neuroma surgery. he discussed my case and we talked about treatment options. he was great to return my calls as i made a decision about what type of treatment i wanted to pursue. My surgery went great. Thank you Dr. Slattery.

I contacted House Institute five weeks ago and was told to send my records to the Institute and I would be contacred by the staff to set up a consult. I did that and called confirm my records has arrived. I was told Dr. Slattery would call me on Thursday or friday after surgery, I waited at home and no call. I called the patient rep on Monday and she told me that it was unprofessional and he would call the following day. Two weeks later, still no call. I have NEVER experienced such an unprofessional organization in my life.
