Abigail Schreiber

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from UC Denver and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since January 2019. With several years of direct clinical experience since 2016, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients spanning from age 8 to 80. Throughout my practice, I have witnessed the immense potential within every individual to become their best self and lead a fulfilling life.

In my therapeutic approach, I prioritize a client-centered perspective, ensuring that I view my clients as individuals with problems rather than defining them solely by their problems. I rely on evidence-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to challenge negative distortions in thinking and help reframe these thoughts into more positive and productive realities. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of mindfulness skills, assisting clients in cultivating the ability to stay present and centered in the moment, rather than getting caught up in …ruminations about the past or anxieties about the future.

Central to my philosophy is the belief in building a strong rapport with my clients. I approach therapy with a non-judgmental and open-minded stance, recognizing that we are all human beings who face challenges and make mistakes.
